Everything was great, however, the AC in our room was very loud. I asked my friends and it wasn’t the same for them. We stayed in one of the ocean view room. By the way, the view was great!! Excellent room to watch the beautiful sunset.
-
We booked a pool view room. Beautiful sunsets from this hotel every night ! A taxi from the airport runs about $20 for 2 people.

Our stay at Opal Key Resort was absolutely wonderful! The hotel was very impressive, and the staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The location is perfect—so convenient and close to everything. We truly enjoyed our stay and would 100% recommend Opal Key Resort to anyone visiting Key West! 🌴☀️

Everything was great overall! The only thing I would mention is that the bedsheets felt a little hard/stiff, almost as if they had been heavily starched. Other than that, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend the hotel!

I was very disappointed in how much lack of details about amenities there was from the staff, I had to ask about everything. Charging guests to park in your own parking deck is absolutely ridiculous too when you already pay resort fees for I’m not sure what. Upon arrival, we were told of a deposit on the room which was never disclosed. The man in the gift shop when buying the pass for the beach at sunset key treated us like a nuisance. Again no information given, like an important one you need water shoes to even enter the water. The restaurant there was nice minus the fact of cockroaches the size of iguanas crawling at your feet outside. Only ONE bartender the entire stay came around the pool and checked in on us. Housekeeping cleaned our room one day in the morning then knocked on the door SAME day in the evening when changing asking to clean again? Is that not checked off to not interrupt? My favorite cherry on top was charging us for water in the room ($12 a bottle for Fiji water which is $3.99 at the store) which we did not even drink. We drank the free water that I think was from a convenience store they stocked in the lobby. I’m not sure pool towels, cheap water bottles and sunscreen was worth the fees. We will never come back here for the money. Location is nice but there are a lot better options nearby we noticed. Oh and security told us homeless people leave pebbles in the doors to get back into the building at night to sleep in the stairwell …. what a joke.

Great view

The staff was accommodating but had a lot of canned answers. Kani our breakfast server was amazing and Mackay the supervisor at breakfast was over the top friendly 😊. But the negatives will keep me from returning. Our room needed many repairs, leaking toilet with wet floor, and ants. Ants everywhere, on our toothbrushes and wash clothes, our coffee area. The front office response was great, but the ants didn’t get the memo.

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The rooms are ample and well cared for. The Mexican restaurant embedded in the hotel was also an unexpected highlight. Everything was great with this stay. I would book again for sure.

Excellent! Beautiful view, beautiful property! Didn’t want to leave!

The location was great. The room was comfortable. Check in and out was very easy though the resort map they give you is out of date. The Skybar is a great place to enjoy the sunset and evening breeze. The pool area has plenty of seating with shaded spots pretty available.

Very nice place

Opal key resort is one of our favorite places to stay in Key West. The location is amazing. Easily walk to Duvall st, Mallory square and the marinas in the harbor area. My only complaint is there were no extra blankets in the room and the bedding was only a top sheet and a very light knitted blanket. I’m sure if I had requested one, they would have brought us one. We only stayed one night so I didn’t bother. The restaurants are amazing with the best view in KW. Overall amazing place and will book again on our next stay.

We will definitely be returning. Loved everything about it. Location, pool, water always available, friendly staff. Top notch!

Got an upgrade to a suite with 2 bathrooms! Very quiet rooms with 2 balconies, overlooking the water. Staff was very attentive and room was spotless. Breakfast overlooking the water was very good, and service was great there also. Recommend this property!

The staff was amazing. Above and beyond! Beautiful resort.

I spent 1,200 to sleep on boat ! For one night. When I came back the next day to check in at 8am I asked for the first room they had available to check in before 4pm. They notified me at 2:30pm my room was ready !! Don’t took 61/2 hours to get a clean room. Hard to believe how little they care about a good customer who’s stayed at that hotel a number of times.
