A-1 Budget Motel

Air conditioner worked well. I had a room near the back so nice and quiet. Did not hear highway noise with the air conditioner on. I would stay here again. Older motel but bed and shower were adequate.

Value and location. Front desk person was racist and rude. Ask us for a $500 deposit on our room. She assumed because we were of Native American descent that we were drunks and we would trash their room.

Staff were very helpful, room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

Clean room and good shower. Breakfast was minimal and Hwy 97 was noisy.

Good location for OIT, love the motel aspect being able to park right outside your room. There was a group of people staying there for work in the area and they were socializing outside their rooms but were very quiet and respectful. We had a dog and were charged a fee for having it there but then they asked that the dog doesn't sleep on the bed while we were there. Kind of a tough ask for a dog and dog people. The beds are at best ok, only 2 pillows per bed and they were pretty flat. Could benefit from either a couple more pillows or better quality pillows. There was also a charge for an additional person in the room, we rented a room with 2 queen and were charged for our daughter being with us.

Very clean room w/covered parking right outside your room door. Price was really good. Beds comfy. MW and ref worked well. A/C worked well. Bathroom shower renovated. Breakfast not much but for me, cereal and OJ works. For my wife, a wrapped pastry didn't cut it. My only complaint is the soap and lotion containers at the sink either were empty or just didn't dispense. Same thing with the conditioner container in the shower.

Convenient for quick stop on long trip.

Cheap but clean and spacious. Excellent proximity to Crater Lake.

I'm a picky old woman, and I believe I have never stayed in a better motel room. It had all the amenities you could want, and everything worked! It was very clean, and even the bed linens smelled clean and fresh. The staff was pleasant and helpful, and best of all it was very reasonably priced. I chose this motel purposely because of its proximity to the highway I would be setting out on in the morning, so I was okay with the fact that there was vehicle noise. But it was pretty loud, not continuously but occasionally.

For the price it was OK for a spot to sleep the night before continuing on. The room seemed clean, we got in very late, turned on the hvac and I was hit with a faint but still there urine smell. Too hot to not have any air so I kept it on. One of the pillows also had the same smell. Bed was not very comfortable and the frame made a bunch of noise when standing up or laying down. Slept a few restless hours(between road noise and other guests leaving early)and decided it was time to get going. Breakfast was not much to write home about. Honey buns or a little cereal. Coffee was also not drinkable. Staff was friendly enough. Overall not worth the price but it did serve the purpose we needed it for. Will probably stay elsewhere next time.

My husband and I stopped here on our way to Bend. Even though we got in late, staff were available to check us in. Room was clean, and everything was operational. Continental breakfast was a bit limited, but it worked for us to grab something quick before we got back on the road. Overall, everything was great for what we needed.
