L'esprit de Naiyang Beach Resort

Fantastic location near the national park and great (non-crowded) beaches. We stayed in a villa with a private pool, which offered ample time to rest and relax. Staff was kind and attentive, especially Mr. Lek, who operates the raft connecting the beach and the resort. And the curry duck breast dish in the resort restaurant was simply spectacular. Everything exceeded our expectations, so we do not have any complaints. Would happily return the first chance we get :)

Everything I would stay again. Great location right up to a national park and beautiful beach. Secluded area but only 5 min walk to dozens of restaurants and shops. Breakfast was soso, but it's free so you can't complain!

They request a cash deposit for your room unannounced or they keep your passport.

The rooms are large and clean, beds are comfortable. It's 10min away from the airport by car and 10min away by walking from the town beach. When we visited, one swimming pool was under renovation. The one open for use has many sharp tile edges that can cut your feet. The resort revolves around the swimming pools, it will recover much of its appeal after the renovation is complete. Unfortunately there is no bridge to cross the small river that cuts the resort from the beach, there is a raft which adds a little inconvenience. And the river is really dirty - of course not the resort fault. I hope they could make a simple bridge to improve that!

Pool was awesome... The open air bathroom. Bed was a little hard.

The room was nice and the pool was right outside the double doors. The staff was helpful and kind and the location was beautiful. The walk to the beach was a little odd with a small creek that needed to be crossed with the smallest little ferry ever. This was quaint! Unfortunately, our front door looked like it had been broken into and it was very difficult to lock and unlock. This was an inconvenience. The pool was very warm so it wasn't as refreshing as we hoped given the heat. I know this is hard to control.

Lovely staff nothing to much trouble, Good food Nice sized bungalow We booked and payed extra for a room with a plunge pool, I’m afraid the plunge pool was smaller than my bath tub at home, don’t waste your money.there’s a small manned raft across a stream at the back of the hotel which allows a short cut to the shops and restaurants this closes at 9pm all though you can call a number to get someone to operate it after that time, the problem is the path back through the trees is pitch black, there is a torch in the room, the trip back by taxi is 25 minutes at a cost of 200 baht, more sun loungers needed by the pool

Beautiful location the pool was excellent kept. The cleanliness was great. The calf did an amazing job. We had stayed at the property before each time for 8 to 10 days. This time there were some maintenance issues. The furniture in the rooms looked tired. During our stay, we found some linens,(pillowcases, towels) badly frayed/ torn. The rooms could’ve done with some TLC. Very important… having no curtains between the living room and the bedrooms made the entire suite look like just one room instead of two.

The room was not as booked. We booked breakfast but they said it was not included. Also the free shuttle was not free. Staff rather rigid and unpleasant.

Very close to nice beach, although you have to cross a little river to get there and a person has to drive the raft for you. Very impersonal, not much character. Restaurant not exiting and food not inspired. Find somewhere else to eat. Pillows were very hard and full, I used a couch pillow instead as they weren't comfortable. Location by beach is nice, but inconvenient if you want to get to the main street for meals - you would need a taxi. Also strange steps in the bathroom so easy to trip in there.

Staff were so nice. Room was big. We had our own pool so that made a big difference. Every day they cleaned the room if you wanted. Fresh towels. Nice breakfast. Cute way to reach the beach through the jungle. Location was great. I think the price for what it is was a little higher than it should be. There are some updates needed in the room especially if charging this rate.

Lovely food, comfy, spacious room (we had the private pool villa). A short 10 min walk through the trees to the little village for beach restaurants/bars - all very Thai & laid back. Lovely beach. The hotel restaurant & bar closes at 9.30pm, great quality & reasonable prices. No shortage of sunbeds & a good pool. A top stay to chill out before/after you fly. 5-10 mins from the airport but no plane noise. Great beach. And tip the old guy who pulls the ferry over the river, he’s doing a great job :-) The walk back from town in the dark is a bit unnerving (lighting would be helpful - don’t forget your torch. But it’s not too far & the ferry guy is there til 10pm. Use the hotel WhatsApp for later crossings. The room wasn’t luxurious & the private pool felt a bit utilitarian, but we were only there 36 hours.

Almost everything. The facilities were nice. The staff were nice. The place and environment were quite and nice. Actually it is a very good place to recharge the personal batteries. One point is worth to mention. The shower and sink drain were almost clocked. This way the utility is not that good.

I loved absolutely everything about this place, the staff were very polite, everything was very clean. The breakfast and all meals I had were excellent plus the location was perfect just a short walk to the beach and all the bars and restaurants in town. I highly recommend this lovely resort,I will definitely be coming back again soon!!! Nothing I can think of I was very happy with everything!

The room was as pictured and clean. Nice view and pool wasn't cold. This is has a really cool beach nearby. The staff was really nice and we did enjoy the food. I was on the third floor and there was no elevator. Many of the rooms are on the first floor. "Couch" didn't have a back the whole way across, but it makes a nice bed.

Really enjoyed our stay here and were sorry to leave after only 4 nights. We were upgraded to a bungalow with a private pool, which was fantastic for the whole family. It's only a short walk to the town and the beaches, which we also really enjoyed. The tiling in the main pools is cracked and in need of some refurbishment. That said, it's still makes for a very nice swim.

Beautiful location if you want to escape from crowds, stunning pool villas with direct access to the pool. Hotel inside the national park, very wild around and peaceful. Walking distance to touristic road with restaurants about 15min. The facilities such as spa area, gym etc. is below average. I would never pay 1000 Bhat for a massage in this place while on the streets you have better conditions for 400 Bhat. Better make it outdoor in the nature. Secondly the food is really bad, what forced us to eat outside everyday from breakfast to evening. Every time we had some food at the hotel we both ended up throwing up. Change the chef because even “best seller” lobster pasta was very disappointing. After 10pm you cannot comeback walking to the hotel as the water boat is closed (there is a river), so you need to use taxi to go all the way around. I would change pillows too, very bad neck pain. They are too big and hard, felt like my neck was on the top on 5 pillows instead.

If you want to spend a relaxing holiday surrounded by nature, this is the place for you. I loved it. The restaurant is very high quality and the prices are the same as other restaurants in the area. Employees are very mice and helpful. Rooms are very clean Noting

Value for money

The main facility was nice. The main pool and surrounding villas looked nice, well-maintained. The staff was friendly and attentive. Great that they have a small ferry for guests to cross the river, as this opened up the great beach area. My stay was with a private pool. The pool needs a smaller step into it and a small rail. I am 6'2,' and the step in came up to my knee. I am older, so I had to bend and support with my hands on the ground. Also, for the price we paid a little more attention to detail around the pool would make it homely. There was mould on several areas of the surrounding wall, which was very dark; a paint would fix this. Also, at night, the pool light is very bright. It needs a deflecter behind it so the majority of light shines towards the wall, not back towards anyone sitting outside. On that note, the table and chairs should be comfortable, not a standard "Bunnings" three-piece set for AUD50 ( this was their premier room/accommodation). Perhaps a small shade sail down the outside wall covering some of the pool could help with lowering the pool's running cost as it gets warm and then needs more chemicals to clean... Extend the hours for the ferry by one hour to 11pm as 10pm is just a little early.
