Baan Sukreep Resort

Baan Sukreep felt like a slice of paradise after a stressful stay elsewhere on Koh Samui. The resort is quiet, rustic, private, and tucked away from the busiest tourist areas, while still being walkable to nice beaches and other restaurants. It was easy to get a Grab when we wanted to go farther. The pool was incredible, the garden setting felt peaceful, and the staff were kind and welcoming. We also loved the friendly cat. The onsite Mekong Fusion Restaurant & Lounge was excellent, with very flavorful Vietnamese/Thai fusion food and a surprisingly impressive whisky, rum, and cigar selection from around the world. You can tell the owner has put care into the menu and overall experience. It felt like a calm place to actually relax on Koh Samui. The room was slightly small and the mattress was quite firm. It is also a more rustic, quiet resort rather than a polished big hotel, which we liked, but it is good to know before booking. Bathrooms are also quite small.

All staff were lovely and attentive, really clean facilities breakfast was lovely as well as the restaurant and surroundings and setting, would 100% recommend.

There was a horrible smell of moth balls coming from underneath my veranda. I almost checked out after the first night because it was unbearable. I couldn't leave the doors open because of the smell and I couldn't sit on the verandah.

Nice pool nice staff, but very expensive . The whole area was so expensive compared to the rest of our adventure. Would not visit the island again due to this very reason. Taxi prices, price of food, delivery drivers holding food hostage till you guarantee a tip. cheap price taxi getting out to places, coming back price triples! Seriously busy road to get anywhere so a little scary with kids would not recommend. It seemed like too tourists for us and not enough places to explore because of taxi prices. Would not return to island.

Everything was great. Very comfortable and the restaurant is outstanding. I booked another week, really recommend this place.

amazing chill vibes with very welcoming staff nothing

The owner was very prompt in replying to questions. The two bedroom villa we had was lovely and set in a lush jungle like garden with a lovely balcony. The “resort “ is small and family run. The staff is lovely and helpful, and quickly moved our bags from lobby to room and out again when departing. The “resort “is in an accessible location to other restaurants and cafes. of note: the “ resort “ is a 10 minute walk down the small road, to the main road, through another resort, to the beach. the beach or ocean cannot be seen from the “ resort” location the nearby beach is lovely and you can walk on it. you can rent a lounger from other resorts that are on the beach for 100 baht. you can walk 300 m to the main road, from which you can hail a “ jitney” which will take you to other places in the island. the homemade yogurt is great! as always, the staff are lovely. bed was not rock hard! the breakfast is not “buffet “ as the sign from the road, ( and some comments) have said. the breakfast is made to order ( eggs/ bacon) and it is fine, just not buffet. on the table for guests is bread, jam, a few cereals ( ask for milk) yogurt and some fruit. coffee /tea is available but again, you have to ask for milk!! the breakfast table should be ready at 8am as advertised. breakfast should not be just starting to get set up, and coffee not yet brewed, at 8am. if that’s the case, advise guests breakfast starts at 8:30. the photos make one believe the pool and lounge area is larger than it is. the pool area is small and clean and had good loungers, but it’s small. note: upon arrival, the beach seems to be further than you thought it was. when booking , one is advised that quiet time is from 11pm to morning. however it is not enforced, and there was no way of reporting any disturbances , as no one man’s the front desk and we were disturbed by other guests chatting on their phones at 1 am. this is more of a boutique “ resort” than a traditional “ resort”, especially for Ko Samui; it’s more bungalow type rooms in lovely jungle garden.

Nestled in a nice garden jungle location and access, the street access wasn’t nice to Baan Also you need to cross the street to access the beach and it really on a curve after walking between industriel area and the evening dog everywhere .
