The location, the staff and the property are all top notch. We had originally booked 2 nights and extended it to 5. I could have stayed another week. I must say- the staff are really exceptional- Everyone from the front desk to the pool side and the restaurant- lovely people, always smiling and helpful and earnest about it! I’ve lived in Asia for 20 years. I’m no fool (unless you ask my wife) - I’m so impressed with this team. Thank you to everyone! (And the food is very good too!!) The only small downside is the trash that washed up on the beach. This is blown all the way from Phuket and not the fault of the hotel- but if they could work to gather it a little more quickly would make a difference…

Everything was above expectation. Beside beach, pool, bar. Couldn't have asked for better. room was super, staff excellent. We stayed for 6 nights and it was the highlight of out trip to Thailand. we have traveled to Thailand on 6 or 7 occasions and I don't remember a nicer hotel. Nothing

It’s a really beautiful property but… I had stayed at Nakamanda before, when it genuinely felt like a luxury hotel. It no longer does. Breakfast is bland. I enjoy good bread and pastries, but here they were not worth the effort. It’s a relief there are plenty of restaurants nearby, otherwise I would have ended up skipping meals as the food was really below average. The mattresses feel worn out, and the pillows are among the most uncomfortable I’ve experienced. More surprisingly, the hotel allows long-tail boats to operate right at its doorstep. A cartel representative sits on the beach access stairs smoking all day, while boats run continuously in the morning, bringing noise and diesel fumes. And those artificial flowers everywhere, including in the lobby, do not help the impression. It undermines what is otherwise a beautiful property, and not even at a price point that would justify the compromises. I will avoid it in the future.

Amazing beach, nice set up of villas, great service It’s a bit outdated and small things could be improved - for example charger is available only from one side of the bed, would be great to have it from both sides. But it’s not a big deal.

Very beautiful design. Great flow. Daily yoga. Great spa/ massage. Good food. Breakfast changes daily. Beautiful calm warm water. Smoking allowed on patio so the people below us were chain smokers. Couldn’t really enjoy our patio which is why I wanted to book this design / resort.

I liked the setting of the hotel. Felt tropical and private. The food was less than par…machine coffee (which was horrible). A resort like this should provide fresh coffee/tea, etc. the breakfast buffet was below average as well. Staff was not around asking if we needed anything. I had to find a staff member to order a drink and food. Sat at the table for around 10 to 15 minutes and no one came by to ask if I needed anything. Once the food came, I had to track down a staff member for napkins and silverware. Oh and did not ask if I needed anything else or if I enjoyed the dinner. No one stopped by so I left. A place at this level (which is not cheap) should be more attentive. I left and just about reached my room and a worker came running to have me sign my bill. Really? Where were you the last 30 minutes when I was sitting there. The food and service needs improvement!

After traveling for 2 weeks and eating in all kind of places in tailand (hotels, buffets, markets, etc) it is the less delicious of all. I couldn’t say “bad food” but it was just not delicious at all. You find better and tastier food in 7 eleven :(
