TAN Hostel x Cafe - Adults Only

Okay location that is not completely on the tourist strip, close to the beach. Cheap price. Bedroom doors left open: When they come to turn off the air conditioning at 11am and on again at 4pm, they leave the door to the room completely open and unlocked even though you usually need key card access to enter. This happened all three days I was at the hostel. They also leave the main door to the hostel wide open during the day so anyone could just walk in off the street and go straight into your room. They don't seem to understand why this is a problem. Once I realized they do this consistently I started locking all of my belongings in the locker. Dirty: The girls bathrooms are on the dirty side for a hostel. You can tell they don't keep up daily or deep cleaning with how many people are using the facilities. Lots of hair, the toilet garbages overflow with used toilet paper, showers are dirty and have drain flies etc. Wish they would just charge a bit more and clean the showers/sinks more often. Also the seats in the sun deck common area are black with dirt. Street noise: This is not the hostels fault but the noise from the road is extremely loud at night even with earplugs. Especially on Saturday night, motorcycles and scooters were racing up the street all night (really bad around 3-4am) and kept my whole room awake. Even though our room was internal it was incredibly loud and frustrating. It doesn't seem like this is possible but I assure you it is very loud.

I have been there during Songkran day and the water got shortage while everyone are using shower room at thee same time but the staff tried to slove the problem suddenly.

The general atmosphere is cosy, and the staff are very helpful. The water pressure is quite low, and the water isn’t very hot.

The location and space in dorm is apt as per general hostel standards. The place is adjacent to a cafe in the ground floor. Hostels chilling area is on first floor so if room is allotted in ground floor, there is no common area apart from cafes area. Which is crowded always. The staffs primary agenda is the cafe. So post 9pm no possibility of contacting them for anything. They are however open and frank about it.

Everything! The rooms are so spacious, the are so many showers and bathrooms, a lot of mirrors to get ready (I appreciate this as a girl). The staff is nice. The bed was comfortable and the room was fresh! They also have a nice looby and a really good brunch restaurant downstairs which I highly recommend! I ate there the three days I stayed there haha Just that the common areas are not window closed and there were a lot of mosquitoes. And it was like 15 min walking to the main area of bars and restaurants by the beach

The staff is helpful when it comes to booking tours, taxis, or transportation. • The Wi-Fi works well. • The location is good and convenient. • The bathrooms are quite unpleasant and don’t feel very clean or comfortable. • The toilets don’t have a water hose/bidet spray, which makes the experience less comfortable. • The rooms are not very comfortable at night and look aesthetically poor. • Bed partitions are not fully closed, so you can partially see the person next to you. • There is no breakfast included. • Air conditioning is not available 24 hours.

I stayed in a 2-person room. The room was very comfortable and had enough space for your belongings. You enter the room with a card. So is also very secure. Shared bathroom big enough for all. The Cafe downstairs is also very nice. Would stay here definitely again.

Bed bugs. I showed the staff and they laughed. Very unprofessional.

The place has an area to sit and relax which is nice. The staff are super friendly. They have the best cafe on the bottom floor. When I tell you the food is delicious. They have excellent breakfast options. Best cafe in Ao Nang.

Pretty much just a regular hostel. Yes it was clean. However the duvet for the bed was rolled up very weirdly and creased as though it hadn’t been washed from the previous person. There’s not much privacy in the room as the curtain doesn’t fully cover the bed and there’s a see through net between you and your neighbor. I got put into a room with 5 other men as a solo woman which was quite strange. I’d maybe recommend this hostel as a one nighter. But, they do have a lovely cafe downstairs with great food and drinks.

hly recommended! Everything was just perfect .? The location, staff, the spacious room, and comfortable beds, everything was always clean and tidy. And of course, the best coffee/restaurant, with the best food!!! Thank you very much for everything!?

There’s only two pieces of curtain for each bed, kinda less privacy.
