Best value for money hotel I have ever stayed at modern clean beautiful
-
The sensor light that could not be turned off. Makes a mid-night bathroom trip more difficult to go back to sleep after waiting for the light
-
Great stay, great rooms
-
There was a red lip scratch on my bed sheets.
-
No bathtub but no issue! Probably to save costs (which is why it is cheaper in it’s level)

Comfortable bed, very clean rooms and great location close to attractions

Breakfast as a western person.

The buffet breakfast was quite typical for business hotels. The refresh frequency was sufficiently often. The wifi in the common areas the guest rooms were sufficiently fast for most uses. The hotels location was also good in that it was near the Sakura Machi mall where there are fast foods. We also frequented the pedestrian zone eateries that were a short walk from the hotel. Though the coin laundry provided at the first floor was sufficient, a lot of guests were actually using it and it probably wouldn't hurt if additional machines were provided

Close to Kumamoto station by tram, spacious room compared to other hotels in Japan.
-
The washer and dryer. It would not dry very well with my laundry load.

Nothing to highlight Parking: Off-site only. They just hand you a 100-yen discount coupon for a nearby plaza, which doesn’t really solve the inconvenience. Room: Misleading. It looked nothing like the photos — essentially a windowless box. With the hotel’s “dark theme,” the room was extremely dim even with every light switched on. Design flaw: The motion sensor in the corridor inside the room is awful. If more than one person is staying, the light keeps switching on for several minutes and disturbs sleep with no way to turn it off.

Decent and clean. Location is good for starting to shop and station. Air conditioner is not quite workable. Sometimes are too load.

The location is great!

The hotel is new and well situated near the bus station. It is also near two art museums so it is possible to walk to them. The front desk staff were poor quality with rude behavior. Having traveled widely all over Japan during nine previous trips I am experienced when it comes to travel and hotels in Japan. The front desk staff at the Grids Hotel were not efficient or polite. There are many young people in Japan looking for jobs and the Grids Hotel would have no problem finding better staff for the front desk. Considering the high prices charged for the rooms, the front desk staff should be better quality. The hotel owner and manager should deal with this problem immediately.

The price for the quality of the room was amazing. Also the amenities and service were very good The size of the room felt a little cramped but for the low price room we got it was very well worth it
-
Very modern and clean. The room was very compact but comfortable Parking is far away which was a bit of a problem because it was raining really hard.

The hall lights are operated by the motion sensor. It’s not convenient when one goes to the toilet in night and the second wakes up due to lights
