Breakfast was good for the cost paid, must try! It was a buffet spread with traditional Japanese food.
-
Public bath needs a refresh.

No drinking water in room from tap (very unusual for Japan), room was not clean, hotel had musty smell in hallways, disappointing. (staff were excellent, good location, and price OK)

This is by far the largest room I've had in Japan so far. Streaming services available on the tv, and the restaurant/bar had great service and drinks. The shower is a little small. Still good but it was the weakest part of this location for me.

Loved the location and the onsenon the property.

Location was excellent to visit Kumamoto castle and the arcade. The breakfast was reasonably priced and delicious. The bath facility was difficult to access. There wasn’t much explanation on what to bring to the big bath from the room, like a bath towel. Also, no bath mat in the room’s shower.

The location was really good, right in the city center. Around the area was a lot of shops and restaurants. The breakfast is really really good

Good location in large Japanese style hotel. Room was a good size, breakfast great and onsen on 6th floor a bonus. Parking a couple of minutes away in a multistorey carpark that hotel has agreement with.

Location was incredible. It's the middle of the city. Breakfast tastes good and homie and fresh. Breakfast wasn't refilled.

The hotel is very near to kumamoto castle and in a shopping district. Plenty of restaurants and bars to enjoy. Parking is possible next to the hotel. The hotel has a large public bath available. The rooms are very spacious and each have a separate shower area and toilet. The rooms were somewhat run down. They were styled as traditional but compared to other hotels missed the original feel.

A surprisingly large room with a table and bed. Very quiet and comfortable. The onsen on sixth floor is nice and unique, with tatami mat floors! The location is just five minutes from Kumamoto Castle.
