The location was surprisingly great, and the hotel is really nice for the price. I can't say I disliked it, but I would have liked more breakfast alternatives. They don't have to be fancy, just changed up a little from time to time. Since I stayed for two weeks, having the exact same breakfast every single day got a bit boring. Anyway, there is a Lawson convenience store on the corner for days when you are in a hurry, and Toji Station is right in front of the hotel. It is only one stop from Kyoto Station in case you are in the mood for a better breakfast.

Great location with easy access to train and bus and local combinis. Also walking distance to some restaurants and the beautiful Toji shrine. Lovely staff and really awesome to have snacks and tea/coffee provided most of the day. Laundry in the facility was very convenient! Breakfast was only ok.

The breakfast was amazing -- so many options and delicious! The eating area is wonderful and open all day for lounging, socializing, or eating food you brought from outside. It was really nice to have this large, beautiful, open communal space, so you don't always have to go straight back to your room. The surrouding area is safe but not exciting. It's 1 subway stop or a 15 min walk to the Kyoto train station, and an easy bus ride to the touristy area (Gion, Kiyomizu-dera Temple).

Pancake machine and laundry room are very nice for me that has been on the road for 3 months The booking showed for 2 people when i picked just one and they didn’t want to deal with it, but did by the end of my stay

Centrally located, great value. Breakfast was great, beds were comfortable. Staff is super friendly and always ready to help. Hotel offers resources for visitors to help them plan their vsit. Breakfast could use some more variety, especially for people staying longer then 2 days. Other then that I was very satisfied with the value and what this hotel had to offer

The drink buffet in the library is so good. The rooms are Japan-level clean. I feel at home here. 10 o’clock check out is a bit early but nothing else

Rooms are expected to be small but these were def the smallest we stayed during our trip. It’s manageable just something to take note of if you are trying to decide how many rooms to get.

Best hotel we have stayed at in Japan so far, great sized room, modern tv with Netflix and YouTube, great amenities, breakfast buffet was great, bathroom is normal size and can actually stand in there, location is convenient and really close to train and restaurants etc. staff was very accommodating

super convenient location! staff were super duper friendly and helpful, we really enjoyed our stay here. one of the best accomodations we've stayed throughout our stay in japan. room was spacious and washroom was big as heck, love love love this place! absolutely nothing lol this place is amazing

Clean and friendly. Close to bus, train, and subway transportation. They have washer and dryers, and lockers for your luggage.

it was always clean, the staff were super friendly (always greeted and said goodbye) and helpful whenever we had questions. it was our honeymoon and they also made us swans out of towels with a sign. it was so thoughtful and a nice way to start our trip in kyoto :D nothing they can change but location was fine, right next to toji station which is nice. just for our trip specifically wish we couldve chosen somewhere closer to gion so we didnt have to ride the bus there and back 40 min. but we made it work!
