Great location close to not only several temples, Ponchoto Alley but also a subway line.
-
The room was clean, modern, and well-designed. The location was just a 10 minute walk to Heian Shrine and there was a MacDonalds and combini nearby for an early breakfast. I was able to beat the crowds to Heian Shrine (see photo). The bed was just a little uncomfortable, too stiff I think but hard to say.

Coffee in the room would’ve make a big difference

Very clean, great location, nice staff. Highly recommend! I liked it all!

Wonderful location in the center of Kyoto. Easy check in and helpful stuff in case of need. Comfortable beds and clean room.

Great location and good budget hotel. You’re central to everything in Kyoto (and super close to the subway station). The staff were very lovely and helpful. Bed is hard and it took a while for the room to warm up.

We only stayed for two nights, but this was an exceptional hotel that I wish we could've stayed in longer. The room was huge and the staff was so nice. It was so easy to check in and out, and it was walking distance from most things to do. We really loved Kyoto and this hotel was amazing for an even greater price. Thank you! Nothing!

The interval is cleaning is just too long

Cosiness and accurate design of the room and pretty separate bath. Soft towels and paper napkins; comfortable and cute cups, kettle and water dispenser downstairs. And good stable internet! Beautiful and informative map-scheme on the wall in the 1-st floor and the overall interior design. Smoking room! Very convenient location in the city center close to the metro station and not far from Kyoto University. Also it was easy to find the hotel on the street even after sunset. It would be nice if there was an opportunity to use an iron, like a microwave and a washing machine. Also there were tea bags in the room, but if it would be possible to provide instant coffee in bags or to put a simple coffee machine downstairs, it would be absolutely excellent

Great location for our needs.

The front desk staff was absent most of the time
-
Staff friendly at check-in and checkout. Felt they are used to people not staying the duration. Like a poorly appointed small dorm room. Not comfortable. Not a convenient location.
-
No employees at easy access
-
Location Tiny room, windows are looking at building next door, window barely opens so room is a dark cave no view, no light. Amenities are weak, no coffee, no cream, no body cream.
-
All great, but watch out for spam emails/SMS, there was a data leakage
-
Location very nice; Bed and pillow are comfortable. Table too small
-
It was a bit of a walk to bus stops. Depending on where you wanted to go, it was around 10 to 15 mins walk.
-
Friendly staff there all the time. Very clean. No unnecessary extra stuff. Beds are very hard.
-
It was clean and comfortable, great value for the price. The location was very convenient- walking distance from a couple different train lines and areas with lots of bars, restaurants, and shopping (including Gion and Nishiki market).

The location was great in Gion, a short walk from Ponchoto street and lovely calming residential area and restaurants in Gion. Beds were comfortable. The staff was nice but not very accommodating. We needed to use the toilet after check out and the receptionist would allow us to use the staff toliet in the hallway. They didn’t have an iron, they wouldn’t let us use their landline to call a Japanese number. They were asking us to pay 1000 yen for checking out 30 min after 10am. The room was on the ground floor and there was a constant sound of wind that wouldnt stop. It was driving us crazy. Nothing would help. The room was small and the bathroom was tiny! In hindsight it was nice to be able to ship our luggage there so staying in a hotel was nice, but I wouldve rather spent less money and stayed in a more comfortable and homey place. The hotel didn’t have a warm and cozy vibe, really just a place u sleep after a long day of activities. Skip it and find something more unique and authentic !
