2 nd time staying there. Great location amazing property. Clean and has all we need Rooms are a little small but normal for Japan

Staff was amazing. Everyone was incredibly helpful, even through language differences. Everyone was friendly, and when I had an issue with my luggage transport to another hotel the receptionist sat with me and helped me figure out the issue until it was solved, including helping me call a new hotel and booking a new reservation. Thank you!! Location was perfect - close proximity to many of the temples and shrines I wanted to visit, including Kiyomizu-Dera, Yasaka, and Kodai-Ji. It was also near the bus stop, and the area around the hotel was very peaceful and lovely to walk around, especially at night. Walking to the river (which took about 5 minutes) was a highlight of my nights. Overall I had an amazing stay and would highly recommend.

Clean aesthetics of the place. The moment you step into the property, you feel you are in a safe and warm space, which was nice for cold Kyoto evenings. Filtered water dispenser is available for use just outside the room. Very basic rooms but quality finishes and clean. The heating was quiet tricky to use. Both my parens’ and our room got cold towards the morning and woke us up.

No amenities at all. Just a tiny, bare room.with no view. Unless, you are on tight budget, there are much better options

Great location and service A little small

Water seemed to leak from shower onto floor no matter how we positioned the shower head. Placement of towel rack in the bathroom is awkward.

The room was very clean and private. The location was perfect; it's close to the train, good food options, and cultural sites. Also the staff is very accommodating and helpful.

Nothing really

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The location was easy to find and was very close to a lot of very popular sites. However, it was not crowded near the actual hotel. Television didnt work very well. But we didnt mind as we never really used it.

Water cooler is present on the ground floor and we have to fill water ourselves so everytime we have to go all the way to the ground floor. Water coolers can be placed on all the floors .

We loved everything about our stay, the only bad part is having to leave it and Kyoto

Overall this was a great hotel. Street noise was pretty minimal. Room size felt pretty reasonable for Japan standards. Service was incredible! There was a weird smell upon entering my room and after opening the window and turning on the air it went away. I alerted the staff and they also provided a spray to eliminate the odor. My two biggest qualms were that (a) the light from the streets comes through window shades at night. I think this might be common for japan, but I did wear my eye mask, so was ultimately fine. (B) didn’t have a great view. Faced the street and the way it was designed didn’t allow for a lot of natural light to come in. I liked being in Gion neighborhood, given this was my first time in Tokyo, but I found that I enjoyed other neighborhoods more that were away from all the tourists.

Clean and well located. Hi. If you travel with kids, they are extremely tight with their rules with no exceptions at all. We have a 5 and 9 yr old. Due to the handicap of the oldest, he still sleeps in our bed. So for us there was no difference in having 2 times a 5yr old. We booked as such, but when checking the passports they refused to gives us a room and refused any reimbursement. After a lot of phone calls, they did find us a room in another hotel they owned, with extra payment. We did not have a lot of choices. The other hotel was nice, just did not like the way we were treated in the first place.
