The hotel was new and chic. The support given to us was top class. The location was also very good. Need to add more washer/dryer unit. During my stay, there were 3 but 1 was out of service.

Great location, right next to Kyoto's train station and to 2 shopping malls. The rooms have great noise isolation so I wasn't bothered by any outside noise. Also, there's a 7Eleven right at the entrance to the hotel which was really comfortable. The staff were extremly friendly and professional. During my stay the 3 washing machines were quite busy and I had to wait next to them to make sure I can wash my clothes but it wasn't too much of an issue. I think one extra waching machine would help:)

The hotel is in a great location with about a 3 minute walk to the station entrance. There is a convenience store on the first floor for needs. The staff were very friendly, the rooms were of good size and very clean. My room faced the station and the square so it was a nice city view. The breakfast had Japanese and Western options. We were easily able to reach all the main destinations via metro and bus around the city from Kyoto station and it was nice to have it as a hub. It was also about 600m from the river and as a runner I was able to get up early and get some nice runs in before touring. The west-facing rooms heat up over the afternoon if the sun is shining brightly. Once you get back to the room, the air con does cool it back down to a comfortable temperature, so don't panic. It is a great view though and I was happy with the room.

This was about as good as you get - we had 5 nights, and used this as a base, right across from the station. Staying on the Hachijo side was great and we had everyting we needed within a short distance. We used this hotel as a base to do day trips, including Osaka and Nara - easily achievable. The room was fantastic - rooms in Japan are small, but this was laid out smartly and we had everything we needed - we got a room overlooking the Tracks and the Avanti Shopping complex - perfect. All tourist sites are accessible from here
