staff very courteous ... decor... cleanliness... prompt response from staff... housekeeping is good...nespresso machine in room is great ...water bottles ample...abdullah sharif in reception did a fine job.... Yuki hirashi in guest relations made the stay much better and was absolutely amazing in her job... chairs too big in the room ...cushions kept fallinglling off the chairs... wasted space on left side of coffee cupboard...could easily fit in a desk n chair with repositioning ... our dinner at kati restaurant was horrible... staff was very good but the actual food was horrible... fish was smelling off ...burger was tasteless...

Luxury and truly 5 star. Amenities were very nice. The breakfast buffet was expensive but totally worth it. The food was over priced and didn’t live up to its hype. The restaurant staff was moody and we had to request for a different server. Check in took forever. This was our most expensive hotel stay in our 12 day Japan trip but not the one we enjoyed the most.

11 out of 10! Absolutely perfect! Everything exceeded my expectations the service, facilities, cleanliness and hospitality were all outstanding. The hotel was only about 5mins walk from a couple of bus stops and a famous large temple, making it very convenient. It was also easy to access Kyoto station, yet the area around the hotel remained peaceful, quiet, and relaxing. I especially loved the design of the hotel which is a beautiful blend of Japanese modern style with classy touches and subtle Thai inspired color/deco accents that made it feel unique and warm:)) Would absolutely recommend this hotel!! Nothing!!

Table is small and only one chair so not enough space for two to sit properly and have an aperitif and chat.

Very new and clean, staff are super friendly, very welcoming, we got the best assistance in Japan, and had to extend our stay, The breakfast and Thai (within same location) requires extra training effort due to internal faults, wrong orders delivery happened many times, less servants in that restaurant,

The hotel is modern and new and located in an ideal location for sight either a short walk, taxi ride away or bus ride. The room was light and airy and the bed extremely comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay. The Japanese restaurant was great. Breakfast was busy and fairly noisy. Restaurants in the area do not offer a wide choice so be prepared to book ahead for the top ones in Kyoto. These have few seats (like 6-10) so you are unlikely to find the best at short notice. For anyone coming to Kyoto for the first time, get your own personal guide. You'll get way more out of your visit. If it's raining try TeamLab interactive art experience.

the breakfast was exceptional. it was a highlight to wake up to this. The staff always went above and beyond. We also did the omakase dinner at the restaurant. the sushi and sashimi was exceptional and the staff was just incredible. I will stay here again and look for one when I go to Thailand. I wish that I was there now. Japan was an amazing experience and the staff at this hotel were just lovely.

Beautifully designed modern hotel. Location was ideal; close to the train station and walking distance to many places. Quiet neighborhood. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated. The beds were incredibly comfortable. The staff were well trained, attentive and caring. The way the restaurants in the hotel are operated. The restaurants in the hotel close at 21:30. Way too early for travelers who spend all day out, wanna rest before eating. Also, not all restaurants are open every night. Wanted to do teppanyaki, it was closed. The sushi is omakase. Difficult for those with some allergies. Luckily, they have accommodated us in terms of our choices in sushi.
