This room was huge! I didn’t realize it was a relatively small hotel in terms of total number of rooms, but it made it a quiet and quaint experience. Best bathroom of our whole Japan trip. Convenient location near trains and bus stops. While the hotel doesn’t offer many amenities, the bars and restaurants are numerous within a block radius. Staff was kind and helpful

I wanted to write a 5 star review since the moment we have entered the hotel, attention to the details and hospitality of the staff was beautiful! We were so very happy with the room and it was amazing to have all the space and it was beautifully designed, we loved coming back from the city and we wanted to spend plenty of time in it resting from the heat outside. We were so lucky to find this hotel. Don’t hesitate to book it, you will love it too!

Large room and shower, very clean comfortable, attentive staff. distance from historic sites- quite a walk or have to take public transport. Also far from Kyoto Station.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Homm Stay Nagi Shijo. The room was very spacious and comfortable, with great facilities, including a large bathroom and walk-in closet space. Would definitely recommend. There was a slight discomfort with the mattress at the start of the stay but, we got by just fine in the end.

Located away from the crowds, tucked in a side street surrounded by many cafes & restaurants - and a short walk away from most of the attractions. Clean, comfortable and quiet. I had to buy a multi plug from the hotel, to use one of my appliances! Shame, as everything else about our stay was perfect. Suggestion - plant some bamboos on the balconies. It will amplify the in room experience!

If I had to pick a negative, it would be that the nearest train station was 10 minutes away, but this didn't really cause us a problem.

Stunning rooms. So well designed. Masterpiece It was a bit far from the old shopping district, but I would argue this is better because the walks were another part of the adventure in Kyoto

Amazing bathroom The area is quite but not so far from the center. Direct bus from Kyoto station, center and Gion district. The staff was incredible and also you can see huge Koi fishes Lack of natural light Noisy ventilation
