Excellent value, very nice amenities. Loved the cold water fillup station and soda water as well. Comfy spacious room, close to Kamo River and subway access. Nothing, I will stay here again!

Very nice room with all necessary facilities and about half mile to Kyoto station. Very good front office staff. No coffee but have a soda or water dispenser. Close to Keihan train station and subway

There was no coffee in the lobby and they could not forward our bags to kanazawa, so we had to go to the 7-Eleven to have that done which was not a huge problem because it was just a short walk away

Quiet comfortable room with western beds, although firm mattresses (as expected in Japan). It is a short walk to a train station that will take you directly to places like Gion for dining. The tea kettle in the room was nice, but some coffee to go with it would have been nice. Our room had a bit of a city view. The river is also close by for morning strolls. This hotel is a bit far from Kyoto station (about a 20 minute walk or almost the same amount time by public transportation). There is no breakfast or even coffee in the lobby. It is about a 5-minute walk to 7-11 for the nearest coffee/breakfast. Being a little farther away from the city center does make it a more budget-friendly option, however.

Clean, calm, friendly Staff. Free washing and shaving accessories and hot/cold water for drink on the lobby. Very hard pillows and mattresses, small rooms and bathrooms.

This is a small hotel, with friendly staff that speak english. The rooms were very quiet and some rooms had a city view. The lobby was small, but had some nice couches and tables. We played cards there one night. There is a pleasant walk along the river a short ways away. A train station that can be used to get to places like Gion is a 5 minute walk. We enjoyed the Beer Lab for craft brews on tap and snacks, nearby. This hotel is a little ways from many attractions. It is a 10-20 minute walk or train to many restaurants, etc. There is no breakfast at the hotel. The closest breakfast is a 7-11 store, about 5 minutes walk. There was an electric kettle in the room, but no coffee, and no coffee in the lobby. Again, 7-11 was closest thing.

Great location. Very clean. Great laundry facilities. Staff was very friendly. Bedside reading lamps were missing. Coffee offering would be a great addition.

Nice stay at Glad One Kyoto. They were super helpful with storing luggage early. Not too bad of a walk from the train station, and close to buses/subway. Solid, clean room. Friendly staff. Only drawback was I could hear people outside (they do try and ask people to be quiet) and in adjacent rooms (minimal though). I would recommend! Just the bit of noise, but that's it!

Honestly not a lot of negative to report. The only thing I wish was better was the laundry situation on-site. The washer was fine, but the dryer barely seemed to dry anything well - if you payed for the full combined "wash + dry" cycle, you had to wait much longer than the given estimate, and if you paid for just a dry cycle, your clothes would come out still wet but (almost comically) piping hot. Overall, the dryer situation didn't negatively impact our stay too much - I would gladly come back to this hotel and have already recommended it to several friends.
