I liked the location, near temple and the walkable path to Nishiki Ichiba market. The bathroom sink was a little clogged, and it smelled bad.

Location was great ?. The staff was very helpful n kind. Much appreciated their smiles! The room wasn’t cleaned properly. Hair in tub n on walls. Also, under bed we found a slipper purely by chance n realized that under the bed was very dirty. ?

It's a great location to get where you need . The hotel is compact as you would expect. It was clean and the did the job. Good restaurants on Main Street and nice the river is just round a 5 min walk and you have a bit of calm.

This Hotel was very clean with a sauna and onsen. The rooms were bigger compared to other hotels we stayed in Japan. Free amenities and a happy hour with 1 drink per person were really nice to have.

Room is too small and crowded for four people and it seems like the hotel tried to fit 4 beds in a double room. Couldn't even open my luggage fully.

The room had everything you needed and the bed slept great. Also, the free welcome drink was a nice bonus. The bathroom is a little small and there was an empty water bottle and dust under the bed which showed they only clean the visible parts of the room.

If your arriving at Kyoto station then attend the Tourist Info. & get a city map & instructions for bus#206. Get off at Gojozawa stop & walk about 8mins. I don't recommend the train. I arrived early & the hotel secured my suitcase as check in is not until 3pm. The twin room was spacious & everything worked fine. My double room was compact but again everything worked fine. I used their self service laundry facilities which was straight forward. I did not partake in breakfast or use their restaurant or hot bath facility so no comment. There are a couple of restaurants nearby as well as a Family Mart (250m). Overall, I had an enjoyable stay apart from the hotel's handling of my booking made over 10 months in advance. I checked in to my room which was a twin room. I had booked & paid for a double room over 10 months in advance. I raised the issue with reception on my first night but apart from needing to use my translation App nothing was resolved to my satisfaction. The young english speaking guy on reception the next morning had been made aware of my issue & was able to do what staff the night before could not do ie allocate a double room which I had booked & paid for in good faith. Even though it was the smallest room on the floor plan it was still a double room. Kudos to that gentleman. Disappointed my booking was not dealt with greater respect.

the relaxing minimalist design of the room, the tatami mat, the Japanese feels in the room, the ECO-friendly system with some giveaways, the “happy hour” 6-8pm, 1 free drink with food, the nice and very accommodating staff the onsen water is too hot
