The cafe in the lobby was perfect— freshly made bagels and baked goods, espressos. Our twin deluxe room was worth the small splurge to have the extra space for 3 nights. Staff friendly— helped make dinner reservations, stored luggage for 36 hours after checkout while we went on 2-day hike. Modern feel, catered to American and western tourists. Multiple laundry machines, never had to wait for one. Can rent regular or e-bikes for the day. Location: opened out onto busy street and was 15 minute walk to nearest subway, and 20 to Kyoto station which was a bit much with luggage. That said, just a few minutes walk in several directions to various spots in Gion and Higashiyama districts, we found great nearby cafes and close to river for morning runs.

The breakfast was excellent. Loved the quality, still thinking about the bagels. We also had a few dinners, the croquettes were delicious, clam chowder soup, pasta. The desserts were the only mediocre entrees. The staff front of house , back of house , bakery & restaurant made us feel at home. The desserts at the restaurant.

Amenities and incredible washing machine, location was perfect, cocktails wow, and the bakery was very yummy. Beds were very comfortable. That the roof bar was closed

If only there was an Onsen... But it's ok because it has beautiful bathtubs! ?

Everything! Amazing hotel! Delicious bakery! Great atmosphere! Comfy beds!

For such large rooms it's weird there is no good place to put your suitcase. But otherwise everything was great.
-
lots of options

Breakfasts were excellent, Location also excellent. Can't think of anything

The staff at reception were so friendly and helpful during check-in and during all our stay. The room size was great and clean. Location was also very close to most of the attractions.

Hotel shower = amazing!

Room was super nice. Small but thoughtful designed and super comfortable. Lobby and 1F cafe/bakery was vibrant and fun but understaffed. Bed and chair in the room was super comfortable and had a luxury feel. It wasn’t pleasant walking to/from this hotel because it is on a busy road with multiple lanes.

The restaurant and rooftop bar Staff communications They left a request to post about them and they’d give you a tote The young lady didn’t like the tag And decided not to give me the tote Additionally they did not refund me last night

Loved the people , super nice exchange at the entrance about soccer. Lovely card to celebrate our special date Above all, I enjoyed the breakfast which was the best I had in a hotel in Japan. The plastic free initiative on top of resonating with us, resulted in very high quality materials all around - a nice touch On the hotel, I absolutely loved it price per quality but the restaurant was a bit lacking. Didn't have an impact on the evaluation of the hotel as I consider it a side topic but if I must point out something it's the dining at the restaurant >> on the two pastas I ordered I noticed a few mistakes (Bolognese pasta was broken in small pieces, sauce was more complicated than needed; seafood pasta had shells that were a quite overcooked to the point of having melted in the shell) Wines selection was decent, but oddly they serve the glass in the back not in front of you. Maybe that's customary in some places, but in Europe we always shown the bottle to ensure the client knows what he ordered

The concierge service was amazing. Appreciates the on/off bus to Kyoto station. Loved the roof top bar, bakery and restaurant

Hotel staff were excellent and very attentive to our needs. They made our stay very comfortable.

The hotel is newer, the room is very comfortable, the shower is power-full, plenty of pressure & hot water.. power outlets on both side of the bed headboard. Your US C-pap will work at this hotel. The roof top bar has a beautiful view. The drinks & food are great & inexpensive compare to US pricing. Takumi helped checked our family in and he was so helpful & kind. 2 female workers helped filled out information to send our bags from Kyoto to Tokyo in 1 day (before 9 am drop off and receive our bags at our Tokyo hotel before 9 pm same day). Amazing! The hotel is a 15 minutes walk to the iconic Sannenzaka 産寧坂 (三年坂) and really easy taxi ride to Kyoto stations. All the workers are nice and work really hard. I really appreciate their attention to details , While they are on the clock working, You won’t see them playing on their cell phone or have 1 earbuds listening to their music… The buffet was not great! Cappuccino, or specialize drink are not included, egg or meat items can only be ordered once..I would have liked to see a coffee expresso machine and a spread of more proteins like bacon, eggs, etc The bakery is fresh but not as great as people say.

This was the best hotel we stayed at on our vacation. The concierge was so helpful, love how we could take the on/off to Kyoto station, and the rooms were great. Thanks for everything

Spacious, comfortable, modern. Beds were great. Room was big. Quiet. It was nice to have coffee shop, rooftop and restaurant as options. Open lobby with great design and decor and open air and light. Makes you feel like you’re staying somewhere more swankier than the cost I didn’t love the area. I thought it was Gion as they promote but it’s a 15 minute walk to that area. I purposely chose to stay away from the station so I could be closer to Gion etc ..but in general, it’s not a close or convenient location to much. As much as I liked the place and found it a great value, I’d stay somewhere different next time for location. I also found the staff not very helpful with any travel ideas or advice. They’re very nice but no one was really versed in giving suggestions or helpful city advice. I was quite suprised. Hotel has a cool swanky vibe (think the W hotel chain back in its hey day) and it feels like the staff is more selected for vibe and presentation purposes.
