The location is great, there's a Uniqlo and GU across the street as well as a bus stop. Two train stations walking distance. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The hotel smells sooo good and they even sell an essential oil with the fragrance.

Rooms are not cleaned every day, only once every 5 days but you do get fresh towels, water and bath mat every day.

The location turned out to be even better than I expected. Shops and markets were right outside the hotel, with plenty of restaurants just a few minutes away. Gion and many of Kyoto's main cultural attractions were within walking distance, so I didn't need to rely on public transportation during my stay. Overall, I was very happy with my stay

The hotel is beautiful and it is a great location. They have laundry in the basement which is super helpful and also activities to learn more about Japan. The dryer on the right takes about 3 or 4 times use before your clothes get dry.

The room was comfortable, clean, and beautifully decorated. They don't clean the room everyday, which I prefer anyways, but they bring fresh towels and water daily.

The location was PHENOMENAL!!!! The best location there was. It was right in the middle of all the attractions (kiyomizu-dera, fushi inari, etc.) and kyoto station. The hotel itself was right in the middle of the shopping and souvenir streets and the nishiki market. Location is insane, barely used public transport, if ever. They didnt have a service to collect trash or towels. Our towels piled up in the room which wasnt too big to begin with which was a bit annoying.

This hotel was lovely and in the best location. The only downside was that it was incredibly small, but that was also typical of our experience in Japan. Would stay again for the location alone.

This is probably my favorite hotel in Kyoto – or even in Japan! This was my second time staying at Hotel Resol Kyoto Kawaramachi Sanjo and it met my expectations again. The rooms are beautifully designed and very clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They host small events each day, that you can visit for free, such as a little Karate show or Geisha show. For me and my needs, the location was perfect! I am able to travel to all my favorite spots by foot and train, which is super convenient. Also 10/10, every time I've been there. The only thing I haven't tried was their food (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner), but with all the amazing food spots near, you don't really have to. They also provide a little Matcha set, that you can use during your stay for a little cup whenever you crave it!

Smallish but well designed, if you just need a good base to go exploring from, this is great. They have fun activities such as calligraphy in the afternoon. I would go find a local coffee shop for breakfast. Breakfast and staff often couldn’t answer our questions.

Perfect location for a Kyoto visit. Quiet rooms. Breakfast included at Il-Chianti in basement was key! More washers and dryers would be helpful. Long lines to launder clothes.

The location was awesome. The staff was friendly and made sure to have an activity happening in the lobby area each evening. From learning Karate, to learning how to do japanese kanji calligraphy, they had you entertained. The hotel is hidden some from the main street. You could miss it if you didn't pay attention. The room was very tight / cramped and there was very little space for your luggage

Very nice, modern, clean hotel in a gray location. The room was smaller than we’re typically used to and the price was a little higher than expected. Still a great experience and would stay there again. Small room rooms and the bed was slightly stiff
