Overall the room was clean. The comfortable beds. It was very affordable. The fact that the air vents (one in the room and the other one in the bathroom)were very dusty made me give a lower score. It triggered me to think of how dirty the other areas were not clean.

Absolutely amazing property in a great location, around the corner from the metro and walking distance to other local spots. The attention to detail, especially the lobby experience with coffee bar and bread station was definitely a pleasant surprise. Loved everything about it

Just stayed at Insomnia Kyoto Oike and loved it. The location is fantastic — easy walking distance to everything you'd want to see in central Kyoto. The hotel itself has a really stylish, modern design that stands out; the lobby in particular is unique for a Japanese hotel, unlike anything else I've seen in the city. Staff were consistently helpful and attentive throughout our stay. Rooms were comfortable and well designed for the space. My favorite part was the lounge area — a great spot to relax with fresh bread, good coffee, juice, and even beer on offer. Small touches like that made the whole stay feel special.

Very cozy, the room is quite spacious, and very clean. It has a very welcoming lobby, and they serve snacks, tea, and juice for free. There's a construction site across from the hotel; they're building something. It's not very noisy, though—we usually got back to our room in the evening, and by then the work had stopped.

We went with one of the bigger rooms and it was a really nice break from the small business hotel rooms we had been using. Like all the business hotels we used, everything was clean, comfortable, and well cared for. The location is great and right off a couple train lines. A short walk from the castle and other popular destinations. There's a little dog Cafe around the corner too. Only one washing machine available, but there was a Laundromat across the main street, so not much of an issue.

The best staff! The free bike rentals were the highlight. The common area was always alive with people. Fun time watching the world cup games with people from around the world.

Terrible laundry machine only works for like a few items also it’s only 1 so it’s constantly in use. I would plan on using the one a few blocks down.

Best hotel we’ve ever stayed in!! The facilities and amenities were so nice. We particularly loved the free pastries, coffee, and juice 24/7 and the free bike rentals. The lounge area was really nice with music playing on vinyl at all hours. The staff were incredible. If we come back to Kyoto, we will stay here for sure! Nothing, it was great.

i love that you borrow bikes for free anytime , and the coffee and pastries in the lounge all day. atmosphere was fantastic..and the room are sooo beautiful

No laundry service but there was a laundry service store close by and rooms were a bit too small but you could put luggage under the bed which was helpful

The fresh breads were AMAZING! The croissant is flaky and crispy, probably better than some in LA. They change the bread selection every other day! The entire environment was very dark aesthetic in a cozy way. The staffs are very friendly and they make sure the food bar is clean at all times. The bike are free to rental and we would use it to stroll around before night end. They even surprised me with birthday balloons in the room! If I have to say what I didn't like or preferably to have to have the skin care samples out along with the amenity.

Lovely stay at Insomnia Kyoto. The location is great, everything is within easy reach, and the hotel was clean and well kept. A nice touch was the complimentary tea, coffee, juices, and pastries available in the lobby throughout the day. Having a 7/11 just around the corner was also convenient. The room was small, but overall the stay was pleasant.
