A very nice hotel. Staff were highly professional and helpful, and always willing to assist. Hotel staff helped with luggage forwarding which was a useful tip. Easy location, being a block away from a local train line, and nearby to multiple bus stops going either direction. Breakfast in the restaurant included with the room was especially nice, as breakfast options in Japan are limited. The rooms were comfortable, and had blackout curtains.

This was a gem of a hotel. The location was great, it was very clean and the staff were helpful. They provide drinking water on each floor, along with an ice machine, which was very helpful during the heat. The room was modern, and we were able to access streaming services, which was hit and miss with other hotels during our visit. The view from the window was disappointing, looking directly at a wall and pipe 1.5 metres away - at that point it would probably be better to just fog the window. The laundry machines were a bit of a battle that results in a scramble of guests, which, while annoying at the time, in hindsight was quite funny.

We were in Kyoto for touring around. We found incredible things to do including a train trip followed by a boat trip nearby the bamboo forest, the temple and the bamboo forest (a second day!) where we both ate at the Ramen place (Incredibly good, the best ramen I ever had in Japan) not to mention its Sake which was at least as good as Niigata's ones! https://www.instagram.com/ranbetsurou/ All was good!

Nice rooms and very clean with a nice breakfast bar. Located a little further away from the temples and shrines and about a 10 minute walk to Nishiki Market.
