The sauna and the location! Nothing

The property was lovely from the front desk staff to the rooms, and bath. The restaurant was a bit pricey for the portions and limited on what one can eat unless you like pork, beef, or seafood.

After I booked online, a notice appeared to say that the Bath and Sauna were closed for construction during my stay. My booking could not be cancelled without a steep fee. So I was disappointed because I chose this hotel over other hotels for these facilities; and I was unhappy this crucial point wasn't clear while making the booking. Thankfully, when I asked at the front desk, I was told construction is delayed until October. Sequence, please check the information that is displayed here and correct it! The hotel lobby was small and could be over-crowded, and guests were confused about how to use the key card to call the lifts. The staff were not stepping in to help or keep order - it would be super if they did.

Sequence KYOTO GOJO is a very beautiful hotel located nearby many bus and subway stops so it is perfect to move around Kyoto easily. We chose this hotel because it had the spa, which included Japanese style bath and sauna - both were very nice and clean. The room was spacious and it had pretty much all you need! Overall it was a lovely experience. There are just two "minor" things that I would like to point out: 1. The washing/drier machines. Although I really liked the possibility to see the status of my laundry from my bedroom tv, unfortunately the clothes were not dry once the first cycle was done and we had to run the drier a second time, after which we still had to hang some clothes in our room to fully air dry. 2. We had breakfast included in our booking and I must say that the buffet was a 10/10 with fresh salads, fruits, yogurt, juices, etc. Besides the fresh buffet, guests can also order a main dish from the kitchen and I must say this was the disappointing part. The service was nice and fast but you could just tell that the food was not fresh and that they probably have a very limited kitchen. Also, I don't drink coffee but my bf said that the coffee was also particularly bad. Besides these two points, my stay was very pleasant and I would totally recommend it Sequence KYOTO GOJO!

Very modern and spacious hotel, with wonderful amenities (especially appreciated the washing machines and common bath). I came back to this hotel as I loved it so much from last time. Had a lovely stay with kind and generous staff taking care of our concerns (eg. getting a taxi, luggage shipping, etc).

Super nice position for Kyoto, everything is closer than you expect The hotel is very clean, new and pleasant We enjoyed onsen and bathing every day, very good to relax The size of the room was enough with the child and also flexible check in time is a good idea

So impersonal. The staff is like robots. No warmth, no hospitality. Not at all like what I have experience from other Japan hotels. The amenities were non existent, and the Onsen is only open every other day. The towels were as thin as paper. Location good but that’s it.

The hotel felt very premium and luxurious. The onsen was fantastic, and the atmosphere was absolutely wonderful.
