Nagomiyado Towa
About Nagomiyado Towa
Towa Ryokan is a ryokan located just a 10-minute walk from JR Kyoto Station. A welcome drink of green tea will be prepared upon arrival. It also offers a spacious basement bath for guests to refresh and free Wi-Fi throughout the property. Nishi Honganji Temple and Higashi Honganji Temple are just a 5-minute walk away. In addition to the Japanese-style rooms in the main building, you can also stay in a separate two-story Kyomachiya (rental). All rooms are air-conditioned and come with a flat-screen TV, refrigerator and electric kettle. The rooms in the main building have futon bedding, while the Kyomachiya houses have beds. All rooms have a private bathroom. A traditional Japanese dinner and breakfast can be enjoyed in the dining room or in your room. Vegan, Vegetarian and Pescatarian meals are available upon request. Please let us know the breakdown of meals at the time of booking. Please contact us at least 3 days before your reservation as it will take time to prepare. Towa Ryokan is a 10-minute drive from Kiyomizu-dera Temple, Nijo Castle and the Kyoto Imperial Palace. I would be honored if I could help you with your sightseeing. It is a popular area in Kyoto City with good reviews. All the staff are looking forward to welcoming you.

Staff was excellent! Very kind and helpful Not accustomed to sitting on the floor but sleeping on the mats was fine

The service, the breakfast, accommodating my last minute late check in, futon was comfy, room was nice, great location and access to an onsite onsen was wonderful The morning of checkout they removed my futon while I was having breakfast. I’d requested a later checkout so I could relax before leaving, but ended up checking out regular time since I had no need to lay on. The onsen was also slightly too hot

Extremely kind, accommodating, attentive staff. Clean, nice ryokan and facilities Nothing

Breakfast was good value and quality location was decent but still a walk to any bus routes staff was very helpful full private bath and toilet Onsen was decent and at 24 hours you can go at odd hours to get it all to yourself Wifi was slow dinner was good but the value? maybe i'll have to try other kaiseki style meals to find out, maybe it was perfect for its price. no view, its a multi floor building so no small garden to look at.

Our suite was amazing! The staff is so friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were very filling, visually appealing, and so delicious.

The staff were very accomodating. I loved the environment and experience of a Ryokan. The food was above and beyond in quality. I ate too much!

I loved the traditional style room with the tatami mats and the futon laid out. The staff were very nice and friendly. Delicious Japanese style breakfast to start off the day. The location was also great. Ten minutes to Kyoto Station, so it was very easy to get around the city. Once you turn off the main roads, you are in a much quieter neighborhood, with some old Machiya style buildings mixed in.

Such friendly and helpful staff! Breakfast was delicious and filling. The ryokan room is truly beautiful and very comfortable. Loved sleeping on the futon and bedding was the perfect for each of us.

The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. They helped us arrange for our luggage to be shipped to our next hotel and went above and beyond our expectations.

Location was a short 10 minute walk from Kyoto Station and had easy access to many places.

Staff were very warm and welcoming

It was a bigger room than we needed and I think that's why it was so expensive, would probably get a smaller room for a better price next time.
-
Kind and helpful staff, comfortable and clean accommodation, tasty and healthy Kyoto-style breakfast, small but clean and well-kept public bath, 10 minute walk from Kyoto Station - great value for price!

Everything! We had a great time. Nothing

Everything. The location was perfect. The building had so many beautiful touches. The people taking care of us were so kind and the entire stay was thoughtful which made for a very comfortable few days. The food was incredible and they were able to provide us breakfast the was fully vegan, but also extremely good. We wish we could have stayed longer! Nothing to say here!

First time staying at a Ryokan and we were very happy with our stay. We were greeted by very friendly staff that promptly served us tea and a snack while they checked us in. The room was a two-story traditional Japanese apartment with tatami floors and futon beds. The room was beautiful, clean, smelled great and had all the needed amenities. Location is a 15 minutes walk to Kyoto Station and useful bus stops, which was convenient enough to get us to different sites around town. Unfortunately, we did not have a chance to try the meals. I would highly recommend this Ryokan. The futon was a little hard for me so I would recommend asking for a second futon for more cushioning.

This was probably the best hotel experience i’ve ever had. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay incredible. They were so kind, helpful, and it seemed like they loved what they do. I would come back to Kyoto just to stay here again Nothing! Facilities were great, staff was amazing, location was perfect. Just outside of the main shopping area but close enough to walk to Kyoto station and conveniently located by a few konbinis for late night snacks.

Friendly staff. I was able to leave my bag 7 hours before checkin so I could do an excursion. Good sized room and 10 minute walk to Tokyo Ststion. No view from my room. Only an opaque window, probably due to urban location. No exterior view.

Reception very professional and welcoming. Loved the tatami room!
