Breakfast was the same every day. The staff at breakfast were not friendly. One morning we ask to take some bread and a coffee to go because we had excursion and they did not let us do it and were very rude. You need a ticket for breakfast if you loose you can get breakfast. The rooms were dirty, dusty, the hallways dirty. You had to grab in the reception toiletries.

The location was excellent and the view from the room was beautiful, especially when it rained and the river was full. The beds were a bit hard.

Location is perfect, convenient yet away from the crowd. The room was really comfortable, would be even better if view was better. Too little laundry machines available. Breakfast spread is ok, but highly repetitive for consecutive stays.

It is tranquil, tastefully decorated, run by very attentive and kind staff, and located very close to a subway station. Its proximity to the shopping area and to a large number of dining establishments makes this the perfect place to be in Kyoto.

Great location, wonderful room in the basement with its own garden, the staff was incredible, good English skills that really helped us during a need for a doctor consult and hospital visit. They were so patient and accommodating. 0

The room was excellent. It had everything I needed and was not too small. My room was at floor two facing the street and I felt I had no privacy at all. It needed to stay in the room with closed curtains all the time. Pretty unpleasant.
