Staff are nice and accommodating. Near kyoto station and accessible to most places. Breakfast is tasty. You can see that the bulding is somewhat old. Shower area doesnt have shelves hence ammenities are on the floor.

No chairs for westerners, although I am aware it was a more traditional style accomodation. I found it difficult after an ebike accident.

Very convenient location. Owner is very helpful. I did not try the meals but they looked good. Onsen downstairs. Delicious coffee was often almost gone every morning. Lol

Handy location near the station, ryokan in central Kyoto with its own communal bath, traditional vibes. Provided robes and nice touches in the room. Overall really happy with our stay. They were happy to store our luggage on our last day. The futons were a bit uncomfortable - not enough padding. Improved by folding over the duvet and sleeping on it to create an extra layer. Remember an eye mask as the windows let in light.

Location was central. There was a strange smell in the hotel and room. I also found someone else's hair on my pillow. Not very clean, old, and needs updates.

The bath downstairs was nice. It stank so bad. The smell was unbearable like mold and rotten garbage. There was a dirty towel left in the bathroom. Hair on the floor.
