Relaxing wellness focused environment. Offered great perks like Meiko dance and photo shoot, and free sign-up activities. The special perk activities are first come first serve and offer very limited options. Would have liked to participate in more activities but they were already booked by the time we arrived and we didn’t know in advance that they were offered.

I’ve stayed in Kyoto 4 times and this was by far the best hotel for us! The location was fabulous as we like to explore and be close enough to the happening city life yet not be inundated by all the noise of the city. The staff helped us book an express bus to our next destination which was incredibly helpful! The breakfast was not included but it was delicious. The public baths were absolutely incredible. Our whole family slept solidly! What great value for a lovely experience! N/A

It was beautiful, clean, in a wonderful location, and the most of the staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were tiny. and cramped. There were three people in our room, so they moved a table and two chairs from the window to the end of the beds to set a futon in front of the window. We had a narrow space to walk between the table and the beds and there was only a small space in the doorway entry for three suitcases. The restaurant was over -priced and a two servers were pretty rude.

Everything about this property felt intentional. It was such an incredibly special stay, down to the minimal detail like folding of the toilet paper, to the immense options of amenities, the lavish shampoo/conditioner/soap options, the room/onsen, and the amazing food. We have told all of our friends/family about this property and they all intend on staying here in the future when visiting Kyoto. N/a

The hotel is very nice with clean rooms, nice bar and amazing stuff. We stayed for 5 nights and enjoyed the hotel very much. I great bonus was a Geisha student performance in the lobby. My daughter absolutely loved it The location is not ideal for transportation. The hotel is about 15 min walk from the main street and is located between two subway stations with 10 min walk to each. If you want to walk this is not not a problem but if you area counting on using the subway it wont be convenient. The rooms run a bit small, we were three in a room and it was crowded.

There isn't any drawers or space to store your own things. It would have been nice to have an extra drawer or two.

Such a nice hotel. Close to food markets and 7/11. Rooms are small but cozy and they have nice amenities. Staff very kind also. Subway stations close by. Definitely recommend -

The hotel offers a calm and comfortable environment. I especially enjoyed sitting by the fountain, watching time pass in the cool weather. The staff are helpful and polite, and while the rooms are compact at 19m², they are still comfortable. The onsen is a lovely bonus, though it can get quite crowded after dinner. The short performance by the maiko, followed by photo-taking, provides an added excitement. Be sure to arrive on time if you’re keen to catch the performance, as it only lasts about 5–8 minutes. The walk to the Nishiki Market where most of the action is can feel a little long. I would also have appreciated more counter space in the bathroom for makeup and toiletries. There was a smoking room right next to the lift lobby on my floor and I was greeted by the smell of smoke each time I passed by. I'm not sure if this is the case on all levels and was just glad my room wasn’t located near that “smoking bomb”!

Onsen is lovely! Great neighbourhood location between two metro lines. Special events planned through week to enrich experience of Kyoto culture. Very responsive staff. Smoking area adjacent to lobby and on certain floors
