Very convenient to train/subway stations, just across the street and great location for malls/convenient stores and restaurants plus souvenirs. Anything that you like to do is just within reach. None

Location and room were great. Hotel located very close to Kyoto Station making it great for day trips. Staff were very nice. Amenities were good.

The property was clean and spacious. The rooms were kept very well. Sometimes the hallways smelled like body odor. But the rooms smelled fresh after cleaning!

Room was clean and tidy. Room size was good with good amenities. Very close to Kyoto Central Station and local tour meeting point. Self check in was efficient. Staff was helpfull. Plenty of convenient stores around. Located a bit away from city centre.

Location is great once you know where the hotel is !!! The instructions how to get to hotel is not very clear. Excellent options for buffet breakfast except only 1 fresh fruit available. The fresh fruits at buffet breakfast is not good, only orange provided and canned fruit cocktail. The hotel is not flexible with check-in time. Some hotels when rooms are ready guests are allowed to check-in already. But here on the dot 3pm check-in.

Convenient. Front desk staff friendly and helpful. Laundry facilities. Twin room smaller than I thought.

They had a spacious lobby but did not allow food or drinks. I found that inconvenient since hotel rooms in Japan are so small. I would have liked to enjoy my coffee with my travel companions. Check in was not as easy as at most other hotels in Japan.

The Via Inn was in a perfect location for my son and I. It was a very easy walk to Kyoto Station, the hub from which we were able to explore the city. We also loved the fact that the area around the hotel provided us with a real neighbourhood feel filled with local eateries. The hotel had an exceptional breakfast catering to both western and Japanese diners. We both appreciated the opportunity to try the variety of fresh and local Japanese cuisine. Some of these dishes became our new favourite way to start the day.

Great location there to Kyoto’s train station, great amenities, such as face mask, Shaowe razor with shaving cream, coffee, tea I didn’t like that I had to ask for iron and an iron board and then I had to return it, but I understood those were their rules.

Location, staff, cleanliness all great. Having 7-11 downstairs was a plus! I wish there had been an area allowing food in the lobby. I had to wait for a couple of hours and was really hungry, but could not eat the food I purchased. It was too cold to be outside at a park. This is a minor thing!
