The location across from the Heian-jingu shrine was great, and it was in a very beautiful area. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were a little run down (stained carpet, old furniture). I also wish they offered a full bed instead of twin beds. There are only two laundry machines in the building and the dryer did not work very well, but that was not a huge issue since there was a laundromat easily walkable.

Lovely staff, lovely room, lovely area right outside the city center and close to everything necessary to enjoy your stay in Kyoto. Wi-Fi was not working very well

Pillows were thin but rock solid! staff were helpful with getting additional pillows but still hard as a rock, window also couldn't open more than a few CMs.

Inexpensive, quiet and right off the bus line. Tiny bathroom and no amenities. For example, no water in the lobby and a coffee machine that required payment.

This time is the same time as seven years ago,we still chose the tatami room. The tatami room makes people feel very warm and cozy. The room is very clean and spacious. It's a little cold to stay in a tatami room in winter.

Nothing really outstanding, but basically what we had expected and overall okay. Kind of old/outdated rooms and no elevator. Maybe we would have expected a little bit more for the money, but we booked quite late.

everything. I have no complaints. I wish the hotel had an elevator however. the only thing I didn't like was that there was no elevator.
