Fufu Kyoto

The staff were accommodating in letting us leave our luggage before check in and brought our luggage up to our room before we got back. The room was pristine and smelled amazing! We loved having a private hot spring bath and a nice living room area to relax in. The traditional breakfast the next morning was incredible (the majority was seafood so be prepared for that). Nothing, this was an amazing stay!

The staff are always so wonderful and accommodating. The rooms are spacious and I love the in-room hinoki wood onsen bath. The quality of this hotel/hotel chain is top tier. Fufu exceeds my expectations and I find to be even better than some other 5-star rated hotels I've stayed at. I look forward to staying at other Fufu locations on my future Japan travels. I wish the staff had more help and stay in good health. We didn't see much at all that we didn't like. They were wonderful and the accommodation is beautiful. There is not much that needs to change.

Location and privacy Close to a busy road

We had a lovely room, overlooking the garden with an onsen en suite. It was quiet and peaceful.

Fufu Kyoto was incredible. Design was a priority throughout the entire property. Everything done in beautiful taste.

The property was exceptional. From the breathtaking garden, enjoyed from the breakfast view, to the refined elegance of the room. Every aspect was considered. The location was perfect, quieter but still within a short walking distance of many key sites. Please add black tea to the mini bar

Have stayed twice now (first time for a single night and second for two nights) and loved it equally both times. It is truly a treat from start to finish, and the breakfast is lovely with the option to have it served in-room, although if you are only staying one night I would suggest going to the restaurant to eat and view their beautiful Japanese garden. The ipad in-room makes it easy to request any additional toiletries. The staff are great, and were even able to help send our large checked luggage to the next hotel via Yamato, calling the next hotel staff to arrange receipt of them. Would come a third time and many more after given the opportunity to. The only slight downside is the nearest station is about 0.4-0.5mi (0.65-0.8km) which can feel like a bit of a walk, but is not bad at all and nice to walk through the scenery.

Atmosphere, food, great neighborhood

We were very pleased with the room; thoughtfully designed and very comfortable. The hotel is an oasis of calm in the middle of the best area for seeing the city. The staff were accommodating and welcoming. We actually extended our stay by two days in order to better see this very special city. We had one minor miscommunication regarding the rate for our extension. This was due to linguistic difference no doubt. In all cases the manager was extremely helpful to resolve the issue and we left satisfied. I compliment the staff and in particular this manager, whose name I wish I could recall. I highly recommend this hotel.

Breakfast was exceptional. The traditional Japanese meal was prepared with care, and we felt very lucky to experience such a special meal. The attendants were wonderful too. very helpful and accommodating. THANK YOU!

This was one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. Extremely great luxury and comfort. The room and property was beautiful. Loved the in-room onsen. I also really appreciated that the staff would come to your room and setup breakfast for you. There wasn't anything that I didn't like. I actually can't think of anything wrong or bad. Loved every aspect of the hotel and service.
