Beautiful property, well staffed . Outskirts of town. Hotel of this level must have SHUTTLE BUS service into center of town several times per day and offer service to main train station daily. Not having this service would discourage another stay at a beautiful property

Too old. Needs to be refurbished. Our room smelts really badly. Carpet looks decades old and very dirty.

Good breakfast. It's soulless. The bar was empty , vast long corridors and located well out of the centre. The facilities( gym , pool) were very good , it's just a bit spiritually cold !

This is such a great hotel to experience the nature of kyoto, everything was exceptional!!

Amazing calm location. Great for walking in the woods and having a relaxed swim in the onsen pool of the hotel! Check-in and check-out took forever and the staff was not well trained and the level of the English language varied.

Every single corner! The hotel was just perfect, I found out about it by coincidence and couldn’t not take a room and enjoy at least a day before I leave Kyoto. Beds are very comfy, excellent service, friendly staff, breath taking views, a mix of modern/ traditional Japanese design. Nothing.

it was very peaceful and the views were amazing. the spa was great check in took forever. all large hotels not booked directly do not give you points on their loyalty program. if you book directly with the chain you end up paying more than booking .com . catch 22 and a rip off to customers

Really beautiful space, relaxing and serene. Clean modern room There is nowhere listed on the website or with check in that you are only allowed at the pool 1 hour with a reservation with no flexibility.

The alert & amazing staff The food of the restaurant doesn’t meet the level of all the rest of the hotel. A culinary advisor could lift up the level to the rest of the Roku experience. - bvankranen@restaurantflore.com
