Ez guest house - Hostel

cheap. it was filthy. i had to fill in my check in info on his dirty laptop keyboard. there appeared to be mystery fluid in plastic bottles behind his desk which im not saying were but definitely looked like piss. the toilet was dirty. the bed was almost like sleeping on the floor. i had to drink my self to sleep that night.

Maybe not the cleanest but the atmosphere is worth it! To some point scarry - but in an epic way.

i have no complaints for this place. it’s quite traditional house which is great. good facilities with heating table, and the staff is kind.

nice staff, has the basics you need to sleep. good value if you are going for a super cheap trip. pretty solid location too! dirty, and to get up to the beds you gotta climb up these super steep stairs. spooky atmosphere but i didn’t hate that just keep that in mind.

Located in a quiet neighborhood with shopping and markets within short walking distance. The person running the guesthouse lives onsite and is somewhat despondent. After staying for 4 nights and parking my bicycle in the tight space inside the doorway and directly in from of the reception desk he did not know who I was or had any record on his computer of my stay. It took nearly 40 minutes to checkout because of this, after showing him my confirmed reservation on Booking.com and the payment I made I ended up telling him I was leaving to go. The place is very dirty, no cleaning was done the whole time I was there, trash cans overfull, and people arriving late without a reservation sleeping in the communal space.

I usually say you get what you pay for, but I’d avoid this one if you can.

The pictures must be from when it was brand new. Very dirty a lot of trash. Smelled very strange and the owner/operator is a very strange fella. For $15 dolla I can’t complain though.

I woke up in the morning with a dozen or so bites. I am not sure where they came from but I think they were bedbugs, possibly.

The place is very dirty, found used plaster on my bed, hairs in the shower.

It’s in the suburbs and close to some significant shrines. It was a more traditional home among homes, not a hi-rise. It has a suit of Samurai armour you can wear. Being remodeled and incomplete. Very steep steps to beds. Public transit shuts down about midnight and the hostel is 6.5km from the nightlife area.

Nothing The location is far for everything. I was very disappointed when I arrived it did not meet my expectation. I did not see the bamboo forest because the owner did not answer my question to him if how will I visit that place. He did not answer when I ashed him what bus will I take to go back to Kyoto train station. Where to buy foods he was not helpful.

It was very comfy and a traditional japanese home at that. There was even a Kotatsu. Nothing really. I mean there were some spots that werent clean, but I feel it is because the place is like the owners hoyse where he shares some beds and facilities with the guests. Toilet and kitchen could be cleaner but nothing that made my stay bad.

The common area is a bit cold. The location is not ideal as it's a bit far from everything.

Nothing. I liked nothing. Just don’t book it !!!! Specially if you’re a female, the money is not worth it!!! The place was all mouldy, there was mould above my friends bed, everything was dirty and smelly, there is only one window for the entire place and it just smelled like farts in there, plus it was really hot. The owner is not even decent, he was wearing just a loose underwear around the place, the sheets were not washed and he sprayed it w room spray in front of us to make the sheets smell better, we had originally booked for 8 nights since the price was good but couldn’t make it for a second night, it was horrible. I DONT RECOMMEND

I really liked that it was adorable and easy going. Perhaps the bathroom and shower room needed cleaning.
