Clean, spacious for Japan, sauna was nice. Linens were washed with something that smelled sticky sweet. Could not sleep on them first night.

Free sake of 10 different kinds and pickles at night !! Free toothbrushes razors combs popsicles green tea water bottles pajamas (rental) all free ! Biiiiig public artificial onsen!! Super clean !! Highly recommend breakfast package delivered to your room each morning!! Self heating bento boxes !! The AC was little dusty and deodorant spray they used for the room triggered asthma attack. But may be that’s just only us. Yukata rental contracted to an outside store for 4000 yen was good price but the quality of yukata was really subpar. Recommends to get it elsewhere.

Everything, from location to communication to customer service, reception, you feel like you’re at home. They provide many accessories even pajamas, bath sponge, water bottles and delicious ice cream. Very clean, comfortable beds easily accommodated my family of 6 in one room with nice extra mattresses The best experience was the breakfast that is served to the room with a nice variety of small items, I was amazed by the tofu soup that is heated in the box, you just pull a string on the side and it takes 10 minutes to heat smoke start coming from the side of the box so tasteful. When I come back to Kyoto I will definitely come back to Kyoto village. どうもありがとうございます None

A lot of space, great facility. Room had a lot of space for 4 people with a lot of luggage, great public bath, stations to great sightseeing locations are very close

It was comfortable, the room design was nice and cool. The tables were great. The amenities were great. The heating/cooling system was a bit finicky. Moreover, our room for 4 people only came with 2 beds, and any other beds needed would need to be set up by us (futons in one of the cabinets). It was not bad, but was not as comfortable as the mattresses provided. Would have been very fun to have all mattresses

Good location, excellent customer service at the front desk, process was very easy to check in and out, the rooms and facilities were very clean and welcoming. Out of all the 3 facilities we stayed at during our trip from Hawaii, this was our favorite! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay! We will definitely choose this hotel again for our next trip. I wish there was more washing machines available since we had to wait for hours and there were a long que to use the machines. Also, perhaps more vending machines with more food options available, but overall these weren't major deal breakers.

Loved the onsen, free snacks, and the very spacious room! It’s difficult to find such a large room in a city for a party of four, and we were very happy with the size of the room, especially for the price!

The room for 5 people was very cramped. It is ok for Japan, but I didn't expect it to be that much. If you have the opportunity not to skimp, then it is better to take at least 2 rooms for 5.

Pros: staff is super friendly and nice. Free kimono rental for limited time; have nice hot bath and ice pops daily, included breakfast (three styles to choose from), can help with luggage transport, helped with calling taxi, close to family mart, major station JR and randen to go to Arashiyama bamboo forest. Big rooms with a combo of beds and ryokan Great value overall!! Cons: would have been nice the washing basin is closer to bathroom. Need a detour to go to the sink from bathroom. The floor is not vacuumed and daily house cleaning is so-so. Some wear and tear in cushions, flooring etc Only one general microwave on fourth floor; cleaning should have been better
