The staff are so excellent in how attentive they were towards us. The food, dinner and breakfast was so great and the quality was amazing. The location of the temples and the shopping street is also excellent. Not one thing

I loved it so much! It was so cute and relaxing and I loved the bathroom. It was up a big hill. And they didn’t have vegetarian options.
-
Everything - service, staff members, location, food/restaurant, and the vibe!! I wish the curfew time was slightly later around 1am.

The staff was super nice and helpful and the hotel was beautiful. It was also in a great location. I had no issues walking around some of the most beautiful areas of Kyoto

Wonderful family run hotel. Great location, wonderful service. The lady at the front desk was very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was excellent quality. We felt very welcomed and take care of while staying at the hotel. Nothing

Rooms were very spacious and clean. The beds were very comfortable and the bath was great to soak and relax in. The dinner and breakfast was impeccable. The service was also fantastic, the staff were very friendly and accommodating for us. The ryokan also has a wonderful lounge downstairs to grab some coffee and do some work in or relax in. Nothing.

Everything about our stay was wonderful! I haven’t slept that well in years.

Everywhere we have stayed in Japan has been lovely and welcoming. This hotel is a cut above the rest. The staff were attentive and kind, understanding and helpful, and so incredibly warm. The location cannot be beat and offers such a lovely perspective on what lies beyond the doors of Kyōto

The inn is so peaceful and all the staff very accommodating. It is so quiet and calming after a busy day of sightseeing. Our room included a private garden and cedar tub. The Japanese breakfast was a great experience as well with great chef and lovely hostess. Such a wonderful experience of a traditional ryokan! There is nothing I can recommend to change. Everything was perfect!

Incredibly touristy area with high volume of visitors; however, accommodations were quiet and peaceful.

The dinner was incredible. It was not just a meal, it was an experience! It felt like we were dining in a Michelin star restaurant. The room itself is very cozy and relaxing. The bed is comfortable and the facilities are nice. Lots of fun goodies as well! We wish we’d stayed longer!

Location, location, location! Close to Kiyomizu-dera temple and Sannenzaka and Ninnenzaka streets which made everything convenient. Wonderful ryokan experience.
-
Great location. Within walking distance of all the attractions.

The traditional style of this hotel has so much charm. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming at the door every time. They went out of their way to help us by storing our suitcases before checking in and after checking out of the hotel and even went as far to draw us a homemade map of the way to our destination. The staff also gifted us a wonderful souvenir for our honeymoon and made our trip to Kyoto very special. Absolutely recommend staying here for the value, the hotel experience but also the location, being so close to beautiful structures and temples.

Breakfast was delicious and you can't beat the location. We also had dinner one night, and it was delicious.

I liked everything!! Location was definitely perfect?. The staff was super nice and sweet. Explain everything to us from property, room to dinner. Definitely a great experience for me and my family.

Excellent location and facilities. Staff were great and very friendly and helpful. The doona on the bed was a little short and couldn't be pulled up. Just a personal preference but I am not a fan of cooked fish for breakfast,
