Yoin Hotel Kyoto Gion

Brilliant location. Comfortable and spacious.

Room was spacious, hotel was clean, and they brought our bags up to our room for us. It was an incredible stay for a great value. I have nothing bad to say about Yoin hotel!

Really nice rooms and facilities. Also, the location is superb. Subway stations are close, but so many attractions are even closer. Would class restaurants, shrines and pagodas are all within walking distance. Even the shopping opportunities near this hotel are great. The staff was friendly and helpful. We didn’t complain at the time, but the pillows were uncomfortable.

Standard twin room was great, very spacious and clean. Shower room was exceptional, large and great water pressure. Location of this hotel is very convenient to Gion old town area. Laundry facilities enhanced our great stay! n/a

Modern and spacious. Nothing.

The location was the main reason for our stay here. It was located only a few minutes walk from some of the larger temples in east Goin area. Its located a few minutes walk from the subway too. The rooms were the largest rooms on our 2 week trip to Japan, which is hard to find. They were also exceptionally clean and quite. You're also only a few minutes walk from the central ward and Pontocho Alley where most of the restaurants and bars are. I would stay here again for the value and location. 10/10 Nothing. This hotel met all our expectations. For the value your are getting everything you need. No complaints. Would stay here again.

The double room was huge and the staff were very friendly. The location is great for traveling through the city and seeing all sides of it.

The staff at the hotel is incredibly professional and kind. If there was a higher rating for this property especially in the cleanliness category I would have given it. There's not a thing that we didn't like!

The location of this hotel is incredible. Down a side street that was super quiet yet a couple of minutes walk to the heart of Gion and all the busses that could take you pretty much anywhere. The train line was a couple of minutes further but still super convenient. We loved not having daily housekeeping. It's not really necessary and we like to spend longer in our room in the mornings so we didn't have to be interrupted by the cleaners. But man, the days they cleaned the room, it was left immaculate for us. I would have a hard time finding anything I didn't like at this amazing hotel. If I had to say anything it would be that if you wanted early check-in or late check-out they charged a nominal HOURLY fee. That's off-putting when one is already paying a pretty good price for the rooms.

Attentive staff. Went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Coffeemaker and refrigerator in room. Safe and secure. Great bathroom with fantastic shower and hot room. Slight air conditioning issue that could have been taken care of before our arrival. Was rectified promptly. No breakfast service.

Huge room for Japan. Great central location. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Shower pressure was amazing and it was very quiet for being so central. Nothing!
