So suprised for the quality with the price! It’s an old ryokan but super clean and I feel so safe with the curfew as it’s a busy neighborhood. I really enjoy taking the bath & room is cleaned daily. Also really great location to commute with train as buses in Kyoto are often crowded.

Everything Privacy, cleanliness, and close to stations among many other transportation I think this is just personal reason, but the door hour. I love to go out at night, so sometimes i felt need to rush going back (but the hotel already stated beforehand so this is a personal notes)

The staff were so lovely and kind. The facilities were amazing and comfortable and the location was great. The room was very peaceful and the onsen in the basement was a HUGE bonus. Travelled around Japan for 3 weeks and this was my favourite accommodation by far.

The onsen was clean and empty. The staff were great and the rooms were big enough. Close to clew rental bike station, close to the train station and to a bunch of cheap traditional Japanese bars That we had to get back in by 11pm

It was a 5 minutes walk from the train station. The staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. Honestly can't get better value for such a reasonable price. Heads up: curfew at 11pm but after a FULL DAY of walking, we were ready to head back and rest.

It’s very close to Kyoto station which is very good after a long walk. The appliances and toilets are a bit old, but they didn’t affect our stay. However, there is a curfew, which could impact your travel plans, especially if you prefer to leave early and visit popular spots.

Great location, only around 200m from Kyoto station. It looks a bit old but very tidy, the room was clean everyday. The staff also very friendly. Because it’s old Japanese style building, sometime the sound proof is not that good.

    - The staff were warm, friendly and helpful - they provided me with glue for my sunglasses when they broke and an iron and ironing board, and chatted to me a lot - Right next to the station so that I could get everywhere quickly, and didn't have to look around for the place at all - They kept hold of my luggage from 1pm on the day of check-in and until 7:30pm on the day of check-out! - Free full tea-set including loose-leaf tea and snacks resembling roof tiles in the privacy of my tatami room - Futon took some getting used to on the first night but was very comfortable and cozy by the second - Bath was the perfect temperature - They offer a choice of squat or sitting toilet which is something I never thought I would appreciate but did - Super authentic and cozy Japanese-feeling decor - it seems like every little corner was taken into account - Absolutely spotless, no dust or dirt at all in my room or anywhere I could see (and I'm very picky about that) If I have to nitpick, I'd say the 11pm lock-in and closing of the baths is inconvenient (I'd like the baths to close at 1am at least), but honestly my stay was wonderful and I don't have any real complaints

Strict curfew guests are expected to be inside from 23:30-6:30. If that works for you the property is great

The room is extremely clean, neat, well-organized, and very cozy. It’s much more spacious than i expected and even more beautiful than in the photos. The host, Ms. Kota, is incredibly kind, and the service is excellent, i have never met a Japanese person as lovely as her. The shared bathroom and toilet are perfectly clean. The location is super convenient for getting everywhere, very close to Kyoto Station, with everything you need nearby. This is my best place to stay during the entire trip. Highly recommend!!! Nothing

Perhaps the sweetest mother and daughter team I have ever met. The way they host you made me feel like I was adopted into a Japanese family. Warmly greeted every time I come in the door, shoes or slippers ready. I felt them really serving from the heart, very thoughtful, and that just made my whole time in Kyoto relaxing; even after a long day out. I felt emotional to leave them even, as if I was leaving some family behind. The room was beautiful with traditional tatami and shoji, even a little tea set in the room to make your own. everything spotless including the shared bath. Has everything you need. Only thing I would change is the color of the lighting to something warmer!
