Shared bathrooms- first time doing something like that, so I wasn't used to it.

The bike rental was amazing! The staff was also extremely kind.

The hostel is a bit far from the center, but if thats the vibe ur looking for then its perfect!! Its so chill and beautiful, I wish I had more time to stay there! Check out is quite early though, so be prepared for that. The free snacks were delicious! Its a tad bit small

I couldn’t have chosen a better place where to stay while visiting Kyoto. I loved everything of this guesthouse: the beautiful and well-curated wooden house, the cleanliness, the welcoming stuff and the fact that the guests were very respectful of the quiet hours. It is also very well connected both with the city centre and the train station as there is a connecting buss just one minute walk from the guesthouse.

It really gives off that traditional japanese house. Bed was also comfortable. During winter season, it’s kinda difficult to use the wash area because of the cold. It is located outside the facility.

Everything was perfect, 100% recommended

The cleanliness was on point, and the bed was really comfy The toilet didn't have a bidet, only paper. That was the only issue

The place is beautiful, beds in dorms were comfortable. Shower was nice with hot water. There is a restaurant and a 7 eleven around the corner. The place is clean. We stayed on pretty cold and rainy days. The way to toilets and showers is through the backyard so it was pretty cold to get there. There were no plugs around the bed, which made it problematic to load phones. The pipes are pretty old, sometimes there was an unpleasant smell and the water did not taste good. All in all I found the price for mixed dorm bed pretty high, however Kyoto is expensive.

I love the traditional style of this house, it has a calm and peaceful vibe to it. I slept upstairs and if you wanted to go to the bathroom at night you had to go downstairs but it wasn’t that bad.

The host is really nice and the place definitely feels traditional. It's well-equipped and pretty comfortable, and the common room was cosy (they have a heated blanket!). The location is really good, there's a supermarket around the corner and a bus stop a minute away. Many areas of the guesthouse are outside, so you keep having to change in and out of outdoors slippers as you walk around places. It's not very convenient, especially given that all the sinks are outside. The lights in the common room go out at some point in the evening and switch on at some point in the morning, but if you're trying to have breakfast there really early, you can't turn the light on. The kitchen is very narrow, as well.

Beautiful traditional place with really kind staff who keep the place very tidy The shower etc are ‘outside’ which is a bit cold in winter but other than that I had a great stay
