Beds a bit uncomfortable

Great location and cost performance. It was clean and I thought the bed was fine and the air conditioning was just right. I appreciated the easy check out with the key drop off box and didn't have any issues with the wifi either. The other guests were kind and quiet too which was a nice bonus! I only really have one thing I can complain about and that is that one of the showers was out of body soup in the dispenser. It was also generally lite on amenities but as a hostel that is what I was expecting so not really an issue.

Double private room for 3 is great value!! So roomy with a balcony, our most favorite stay of the trip. We had to check in a little late and also got luggage shipped here, staff was SO communicative and helpful.

Great location, and friendly staff The lack of curtains were tricky for privacy particularly in mixed gender rooms, the common area was also quite small, more than 1 person felt quite tight, wasn't allowed to use laundry facilities, very pricey compared to everywhere else i stayed in japan, but also kyoto and cherry blossom timing so expected

They didn't allow me access to my room, they didn't give me a formal response by email or by booking. my reservation would be cancelled, without the possibility of staying or giving me my refund.

The location was great. Very central. Next to a metro station. The room we stayed in was big and had a balcony with a nice view and a lot of amenities + own toilet, so we didn’t need a common room. We extended our stay into another room as the one we stayed in was reserved. The other room didn’t have sunlight or big windows and it was much smaller but okay. To get to the room you need to climb 1 or 2 floors through a narrow corridor with a lot of steps. Not very comfortable if you have big suitcases. Common room is very dark and small. Not very nice. You can see all around that the hostel is old and not very well maintained. There are some old, broken or dirty spots all around. We weren’t bother by that but it is good to mention.

The property is located close to so many attractions. The host is very professional and friendly. The atmosphere in the rooms is great for socialising and the cleanliness and amenities are top notch. Definitely would stay here if visited again

I think, for the price, it is really good! It is also close to a lot of the Gion district; so, if you are looking to do things around there, I highly recommend! Unfortunately, we got a room with absolutely no source of light, and it was extremely small. The smallest room we stayed in in Japan for sure. Also, I feel bad saying this, but it just didn't have an amazing vibe (this was, again, likely due to the room feeling similar to a jail cell with no light). I think, if you actually get a good room, this place is amazing! Also, I am not a huge fan of touristy areas, so I definitely would not stay in the Gion district again. I think it is very close to a lot of fun things, but I personally would book somewhere further outside the main city next time.

Really Loved the location. It was quiet. Lower bed and pillows were very comfortable. Appreciated the free coffee. Upper bunk was uncomfortable.
