Front desk attendant was pleasant, it’s close to where I needed to be Did not feel safe. Anyone can get in the elevator. My room smelled like cigarettes and mildew, the floors were sticky.

I typically don’t like to write bad reviews but I think it might be helpful to families looking for an inexpensive place to stay near SDSU. I would say this is definitely not the place…I will start with the positive, the beds were comfortable, the air conditioning worked well and the staff was nice. But it’s all down hill from there. This place is located in the middle of a freeway on-ramp and off-ramp with a very sketchy entrance. The parking lot had a car with what looked to be a homeless family parked there. The room smelled awful, like stale urine. Our tv didn’t work the first night but the staff did replace it. Every time we left the room we got locked out because our key stopped working. And one time it took over 15 min just to get a new one. The chair in the room was covered in stains and the comforters were probably purchased in the 70s. I do think the staff did their best to clean the rooms but this place is very old and run down. I definitely do not recommend.

1) Staff was very friendly and helpful. 2) Other guests were very friendly as well. 3) Plenty of parking. 4) Room was quiet and the AC worked very fast. 5) Nice Pool area. 6) easy access to freeway. 7) Water was hot. I would stay here again.

Price Location and cleanliness

The main stairs to the floors in front of the office have no makings so when you go up, they have planks across missing/broken flooring. Planks at least don't look like they will break. They should have a sign saying closed.. Room is 1960s styl motel. Sheets at least looked clean. This is a no frills location. People staying here are pretty rough around the edges Had a plus side...My son who is going to college told me after this experience he is more motivated for school to ensure he doesnt have to stay in places like this.

Honestly because of the no smoking policy this is a GREAT place as far as just staying the night . My biggest complaint is the outlets did not work .

The location is scary, loud (right off the freeway), people smoking in the stairwells. (Which also smelled like urine) The key stopped working twice, staff was nice though. It looks like some folks live there….like long term. If you miss the entrance to the hotel you are screwed. Only one way in. AC was cold, water was hot, at least in my room. Enjoy the crunchy mattress cover. Sometimes it really is best to just pay the extra money for a decent hotel. Yikes, just yikes.
