Our stay was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and outstand

The grounds were very pretty. The staff was very kind and helpful; they agreed to refund our last two nights after we left early. If a few things had been different, I can imagine having had a perfectly good stay. We booked a bungalow, which turned out to be directly next to a busy road with an open-air top. It was deafening during the day and too loud to sleep at night. The room was otherwise fine but rather expensive for what it was. We left after one night of a three night stay, with the hotel agreeing in writing to waive cancellation fees and refund the last two nights. Unfortunately, it appears they never initiated the refund process, and they did not respond to inquiries about the status of the request. The breakfast gave me food poisoning.

Located in the ex governor’s residence of Baja California, this beachfront property is an architectural gem. The rooms are clean and spacious, tastefully appointed, with comfortable beds and excellent lighting. Service is attentive, staff is friendly and helpful. Security is vigilant. The food is good. You are far from the busy, touristy malecón in the middle of town - comfortably secluded. Front desk staff, especially Kenia, Alex and Alejandro were very attentive. The bean bag type lounge chairs at the beach area are very uncomfortable. They also carry stains from previous guests’ use, as do the large mattress beds by the pool. While the food is good, I found the catch of the day to be the same every day. (I had the same exact fish and sauce 3 times.) There is no indoor dining area, which normally would not be an issue given La Paz’s usual very warm climate. But I had 3 days of rain and chilliness and would have preferred an indoor table. Having only been open 3 years, it seems at times that the staff is still trying to find its way, and there are small imperfections you would not expect in a 5 star property (a broken lamp, a clogged sink, no electricity adapters (for European plugs, e.g.)). The hotel is part of the Orchid House group, which has a great hotel in Polanco of Mexico City. I think this Baja property needs some time to catch up to the ambiance offered there. But this is Baja, where the pace is slower than the busy capital.

That it had its beach Slow customer service.

Service is slow, especially when at the pool or beach club. It took about 10 minutes for the waiter to come and take our drink order. Hotel pool is crowded with day pass visitors. There are only 4 day beds by the pool so they get filled quickly.

It is beautiful Our room was infested with mosquitoes and my girlfriend and I are suffering from dozens of itchy mosquito bites each. When I informed them of the problem, their solution was to hand me a can of bug poison so I could fumigate the room myself while on vacation. At $650.00 per night!! Also there was a broken down hot tub on our private patio, which was strategically blocked out from the pictures on the website. The screens had large gaps. We also had no hot water for a he first 24 hours of our stay and we no h had to take cold showers on her birthday. And the fan didn’t work

Beautiful setting My accommodation was overpriced for what it was

Quiet & wonderful views. I had lunch & breakfast - both were too salty. Granola was stale.

Infinite pool Rooms Food Very well thought of a lot of details. The rooms are in very high standard. The infinite pool is the center of attention of the hotel with sea view. Easily can spend the whole day there. Excellent food but pricey obviously. In novemeber the 6000 to 7000 mxn we paid for a night was worth it. Snacks were presented in the room with a tiny price tag in the back. We found out too late. Wouldn't have ate it otherwise. The staff didn't seem to care about our complaint regarding this issue. We think it should be either marked on the front or communicated from the get go what is an extra. We wanted the staff to help us book activities but they are not so informed about all the details. Not their fault. But if the hotel chooses to sponsor a provider (pitas Tours) and he gets a commission, then the staff needs to be more informed about the little details of the trip. For example we didn't understand the lottery of slots to see the whale sharks and it affected us also. This is known a day before.

There are not restaurants around. Manager Ivan is very rude, but most of the personal is very nice and helpful.

Pretty much nothing as we had to leave due to awful smell in the room Strong and pungent sewage smell in the room. Made my pregnant wife sick. They refused to issue a refund when we decided that’s not acceptable and packed up. So unless you want to pay for smelling poop make sure you think twice

Beautiful property with easy access to beach and pool. We stayed in the bungalows and it was a great experience. Bungalows need more lighting for the evenings. Staff can be more attentive during drink/food service. Breakfast was not of value.

Its such a small, intimate hotel. It legit does feel like someones big home. The room was a good size with a nice beach view The food and drinks. Nothing tasted like it had alcohol and the food arrived cold. It was pricey for no flavor

I love the property. It’s beautiful but it is very expensive for a trip to La Paz. The grounds are beautiful and the beach is so nice, very well maintained and great staff. Nice breakfast that came with the overnight stay. Our room was definitely the worst of rooms. It had a beautiful copper tub and 2 leather chairs in that space which was so odd and no chairs in the actual bedroom. I would definitely remove the tub and make it a sitting area. It was a bit claustrophobic. But I am sure the other rooms were set up better. We only stayed because they a special on the rooms. We can’t afford $800-1k per room in La Paz… I wish they would lower the price because it is a beautiful place to stay but way over our budget. We paid $500.00 at a very discounted price and we got the room with no view by the highway and lots of darkness in the room. The space with the crazy tub had the only windows which unless you plan to have a bath tub show for public viewing, those had to be closed too. Having said that we did see some other rooms from the outside that I am sure are spectacular but sadly not for us.

This place is AMAZING. The Presidential suite was gorgeous and beautifully setup. The staff, including the concierge Alfredo, and the restaurant staff and bartenders (Oscar and others) were amazing. The best restaurant in La Paz (Seaside Restaurant) is right next door! It has a private beach with a bar/beach club and the private bar for the hotel is right outside the lobby. The views are incredible. This place is very private, a perfect place for a romantic/restful getaway. We fell in love with La Paz and we will definitely be back.

Beautiful view, atmosphere, design Not delicious food

The location is incredible and had the best sunset I have ever seen. really beautiful place to relax and the staff were attentive. Very quiet and relaxed place- great for couples but as a group of friends we felt like we wanted a bit more atmosphere. Thank you for organising our trip to snorkel with the sea lions. There were a lot of flies around the pool area and breakfast area which was very annoying and indicated there must be something wrong on the property. Drink were very expensive for the area and though it is a five star accommodation something special was missing, it felt like it had just opened and needed to bed in more.
