Such a beautiful and peaceful stay! The staff was very friendly. We loved the breakfast! Excellent stay. Everything was very close to the outpost and it was easy to get to nearby restaurants. Playa Balandra was a 25 min drive. My husband and I wake up very early everyday even on vacation. I would say let the guests make their own coffee since there’s a coffee maker outside of their window. It was hard to find coffee in town that opened before 7AM.

Excellent breakfast. The host was lively, informative and very helpful. Nothing to complain about. Great weekend get away!

The photos looked better than in real life and expected a bit nicer for the price. But overall it was nice!

Decent location on a quieter street. 10min walk to Malecon, although we drove around mostly. Chill set up in the yard with hammock and rooftop. Room was comfy and bathroom was clean. We were able to borrow free beach towels and cooler bag which made our trip to the beach more enjoyable. The host is a VERY interesting old lady. She is welcoming but can be a bit controlling at times. I've never experienced this in any of my stays across the world, but here are two instances. Firstly, I'm supportive of no food waste, but having someone repeatedly ask you to let her know if you're not having breakfast is a bit excessive to my opinion. Secondly, her obsession over "water conservation" is a bit off the chart. I'm an environmentalist myself, and we saved water using buckets in the room when the shower is heating up. However, when we were using the shower in the yard, she couldn't help but watch us from afar. She checked in twice to say "don't let the water run like that" when we were waiting for the freezing water to heat up. She explained the region is extremely dry and don't get much rainfall (Yes, but it was also raining that day). She went on and said, "there's no hot water for the shower in the yard", hoping to deter us from using the shower longer. Funny enough, the water did heat up after a minute.

Sound isolation is bad. Noisy when other guests are on the floor above you. You can hear every detail, them brushing their teeth, walking. Not very relaxing. Random dog poop over the garden. The staff cleans it but there is a lot when they are out. (Even on La Paz streets, the culture of picking up your dog’s poop has not reached yet)

Nothing

I would not have changed one thing about this. Great location, amazing breakfast, exceptional host, quiet neighborhood, beautiful grounds, comfortable rooms, and the friendliest dogs in town. I highly recommend a stay here. Nothing!

Luisa is the perfect host. She has everything covered: rich and changing breakfast, a room full of equipment for a stay at the beach or a hike for your free use- we didn't have to get anything she had the umbrella, cooler, sunscreen, even chairs!! The perfect rooftop to do yoga or watch the sunset. overall best place we stayes at on a two week trip to Baja Sur

Was kind of expensive for what it was.

The outpost is a beautiful oasis in La Paz. It’s well-located near everything, yet also feels removed and quiet. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast was highlight, as was the little corners to relax in, take some sun, perhaps doze off for a nap. It is a hidden gem. Nothing, it was all perfect.
-
Modern and well decorated hotel, the room was small but clean. Luisa was a fantastic host, always happy to help and accommodate our needs, booked us a tour for instance. Tasty breakfast too, opportunity to chat with other guests in the common area, and nice staff! Need to walk 10-15min to the city centre. Not a huge problem, but since we were with a baby, would prefer to be a bit more central. Also found it a bit expensive given the location and had to pay a daily fee for the cot. Other minor thing but breakfast could also be served earlier.

Location was perfect for exploring on foot to the town square and waterfront. Lots of great restaurants nearby and plenty to see and do in LaPaz. Don't miss the whale museum. Included breakfast was simple, coffee good, and enjoyable to meet fellow travelers over a meal. Definitely a great stay. Pillows could be better.

Tranquil, beautifully decorated

Breakfast was great - different foods each day, and it was nice to have a later time (9–11) vs. a lot of hotels that have super early breakfast only. n/a

Able to walk to main parts of town and the Malecon
-
Lovely small b&b in a great location - easy to walk to the Malecón and to find street parking. Luisa the host was wonderful and helped so much with planning excursions and with other local recommendations. It was so nice for me as a solo traveler because there was a chance to meet and chat with the other guests at breakfast every morning.

Very good

Great location, in short walking distance to everything you need in La Paz. Everyone at the B&B was so kind and helpful, offering suggestions for our time and even providing us with beach chairs and an umbrella to use for the day. Loved our stay!

The rooms are beautiful and also very comfortable. The breakfast is very good, and the way the breakfast is set up it's very easy to meet new people if you like, and share experiences/tips. It is a few minutes walk from the boulevard and close to nice places to have lunch or dinner. We would definitely recommend the Mantarraya Outpost! The bathroom is seperated from the main room with a curtain, would've preferred at least a door to seperate the toilet.
