Clean room

No breakfast available. So could not be the reason for the cost difference below. Looked at booking direct. And booking.com. same room and starting room rate. Direct finished 65 higher in taxes and fees. Does candlewood tack on an in-house reservation fee?

Room smelled bad front desk was unreachable left in the middle of the night

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the room was great with all the amenities needed, fridge, strong wifi and nice bed. The only issue we had was the people next door to us and across the hall continuously slamming the door multiple times in the early ours of the morning (2am-4am) and the smell of pot in the hallway.

The room was clean stuff was very nice and Helpfull. The free laundry was nice.

Great hotel for more than a night or two. Allows for fixing meals in room. Allows for eating together at a table set up. Free laundry, outdoor BBQ and seating area. Great staff

Convenience in location Couldn't sleep. The interstate sounded like it was running through the room. Need to work on sound proofing if they are going to be close to traffic. There was a crack in the windows, the bathroom door wouldn't shut properly and the can opener was broke.

The other reviews of this place were really good but it wasn’t good for me. The hotel has a smell to it. Usually a hotel will have a fragrance blasting in the lobby when you walk in but this place had a bad smell. My room was supposed to be non-smoking, supposedly the hotel is non-smoking. That was not the case. My room smelled horrific. The window didn’t open and I couldn’t air the room out. I asked to transfer rooms but they were fully booked. It just didn’t really feel clean. I also was solo for this trip and there were so many men staying there, and I only saw one other woman staying there (who I knew), and some of the staff were female. It just made me feel a little uneasy not seeing any other guests other than men. I will say the staff was very nice and helpful to me. I appreciated the kitchen in the room as well.

Nothing I was ripped off! Upon arrival, Amber, a very unqualified employee, was unable to find one of my two reservations. We had a 20 minute discussion and presentation of Booking.com reservation numbers, etc and she eventually said that there was nothing she could do, and that she did not have rooms for us. I should her the prepayment made back in NOVEMBER in lieu of my son´s graduation at Purdue. She said there was nothing she could do. She called her manager, Kacy, who also rejected us. I immediately went out to find a place to stay and found one and prepaid it. I then called Booking to claim the situation. They called the property and it turns out that Amber did not know what she was doing and that my reservation was there. The only problem was that I had already paid the alternative I was forced to choose. We spoke to Kacy and explained the situation and he promised he would accept giving back our money and would write to Booking authorizing the reimbursement. This mas has yet to honor his word as Booking sent me an email saying that the property has not confirmed the return of the funds. These are dishonest people that have no regard for their clients. Why should I pay for the ignorance of an employee? How can an honest qualified person at a reception not be able to find a reservation with just using my name? DO NOT GO TO CANDLEWOOD SUITES!!!! I will be contacting IHG regarding this matter as they need to know whats happening with their local operators.
