It’s a decent hotel with a fantastic location. Super convenient 10 min walk from train station. The hotel is clean and overlooks the Marina which is very convenient for boat tours and there are some restaurants there as well. It’s a 10 min walk to old town where most of the activities occur. Beware that it is also close to a Bus station so if you were in a left side or back room you would hear the big buses crank up in the morning. Luckily we had a room at the front of the hotel that overlooked the beautiful Marina. The location of the hotel is also close to a super cute coffee shop located 3-5 min walk behind hotel called Alex which we often enjoyed for coffee and breakfast. Do not stay here if you sleep hot! The beds are 2 separate twin mattresses pushed together and are very hard mattresses like a Uni or college dorm room with a thin (probably foam) topper. Also, the sheets are terrible!! They are made out of a polyester blend and they are super hot! Also, hotel turned off AC on our floor outside the rooms in evenings. The outside corridor was super hot. The AC in the room worked, but only okay. We didn’t sleep well at all during the night as it combined for a very hot room. I spend 20 nights or so in European hotels per year and I’ve never had polyester sheets before. The hotels I stay in have 100% cotton sheets that make for a much more comfortable sleep!

Everything! The breakfast, location, the employees, the super large bath towels, the common area, the view from our room, the balcony, the top floor open seating, having a clothes rack, the air conditioning, elevator and the small frig and coffee maker. The staff (from housekeeping, to the front desk and manager bend over backwards to make your holiday extraordinary. Wonderful place! The police patrolling to hand out tickets. The parking is free on Sundays, but the rest of the week they try to give you a ticket. Next door to the hotel, in front of the hotel and across the street of the hotel are all traps. We watched two elderly men park and get out of their car. They both walked, with the aid of their cane’s, over to purchase a parking ticket to put in their car windshield. The police immediately went to the car and began processing a parking violation ticket. We watched as the two men returned to the car with their parking permit in their hand and an argument between them and the police officer erupted. The officer finally tore the violation up. How sneaky of the police officer! Those men did nothing wrong. BEWARE ALL PARKING HAS TO HAVE A PARKING PERMIT AND DO IT IMMEDIATELY!

The location, the amenities, the room with its adorable balcony, the breakfast, the staff, it was all wonderful. I give it a 10/10 and would highly recommend to anyone visiting Lagos! They even let us store our bags and bring back all our shopping bags to put with them so we could spend our last few hours at the beach. This place is fabulous!! Nothing - it was all wonderful!

Provisions in room: tissues, face cloth, fridge, excellent coffee, milk, heating bar for towels, clothing line. Balcony amazing facing Marina, look of ship with stairs, location so good, beds firm and comfortable Housekeeper let us back into room for 5 minutes to clean up. Couldn't mail my postcards.
