Surfside On The Lake

Great location.. can walk to town for shopping and dinner Our 2nd stay. Room was comfortable & clean. Staff was friendly. Only downside was we did not have hot water for showering.

It’s location to the town. Making reservations. Did not appreciate the inability to reach the actual staff for any assistance in booking rooms. I don’t understand booking through a third party.

We had a great stay at Surfside. It was close to walk into the village. The water sports were fun, they have pedal boats, paddle boats and kayaks to use. I was disappointed there was a mandatory $50 additional fee for them that should be included in the reservation rate. The private beach was great other than it wasn't picked up, there was garbage around and people left their belongings scattered and nobody fixed the chairs after it closed so when we arrived in the morning it wasn't "ready" for guests as you would redirect. The food in both resistant was great and prices were reasonable. Overall it was a great stay and we enjoyed it.

The location was beautiful, and the room was comfortable However, I was very disappointed with the overall experience. I booked this hotel mainly for the private beach and the complimentary activities,(kayaking, paddle board) but my check-in was at 4 p.m. and all of that ended around 4:15, so I never had a chance to use it. I assumed I could enjoy it the next day after checking out, but I was told I had to leave immediately. What made it worse was the front desk service. The receptionist was not friendly or helpful and never explained any of these policies when I checked in. If I had known I basically had fifteen minutes to use the amenities on arrival and nothing after checkout, I would have planned very differently. The lack of clear communication and customer service really affected my stay.

property was well maintained,parking was difficult,was afraid to leave property with the car because you wouldnt find parking again.Property is not handicap friendly at all.

We loved the location We did NOT like the rules of use of the amenities. It WAS NOT CLEAR as far as the age restriction on the use of the equipment. If a child cant go alone there should be adequate amount of double paddleboards , and kayaks available for parents to go with children if a child can not go alone, it has to be stated somewhere before booking. The staff did not speak English was extremely hard to communicate. Your restaurant did not accommodate any allergies and your Cheerios in the little box cost $13 which is Highway robbery. It was insane, but as far as the location that was amazing everything else was nothing special at all I have been to lake george every year and this is my first time staying here and not the best experience.
