Candlewood Suites Las Vegas - E Tropicana by IHG

We had an amazing stay! We moved our son to UNLV for his freshman year and this is such a great and convenient location. It is close to both The strip and the school. The staff were so helpful and friendly and the hotel is well maintained. Definitely will stay again.

Hotel and room were very clean and well kept. We had some complications with our trip which had nothing to do with the hotel. We drove from Boulder to Vegas in just under 18 hours in my Tesla that was giving me a ton of trouble(no airconditioning as well as charging issues). We arrived at the hotel at roughly 11:30pm after hours of no air conditioning. We weren't going to have air conditioning on the way home to San Diego the next day, so we decided to cut our stay at the hotel very very short again at no fault to the hotel. We left at 3am to beat the heat getting a solid hour of sleep. Hotel was kind enough to allow us to store our expensive mountain bikes in our room. We were exiting and the attendant had taken our key cards, but I had asked if I could take the bikes to the car, then come back inside for coffee for the drive. Upon returning to the door I also needed an emergency bathroom visit. Something I ate the evening prior had made me sick. I arrived at the door desperate for the bathroom and the attendant was gone. I used the phone to alert the attendant I was there, but the phone just wrang and wrang and wrang and wrang. It was devastating to say the least and won't dare go into what I had to do next. Had we got to stay the night as planned, enjoyed the room and the hotels amenities, I would have given the hotel a perfect 10. But, they failed me when I needed them the most. Maybe it wasn't done on purpose...i will never know, but she had been there just minutes before. The memory of morning and what ensued will always haunt me and I don't think I could ever return to the hotel.

Clean room and convenient stay!

Bad

Hotel was safe and staff was very helpful. Room was clean and amenities were good. I’m sure we could have walked to the strip but I didn’t feel comfortable walking outside.

The tv guide never matches what is really on each channel. And not a good selection of channels.

A great break from the strip but still close to the strip, the property is very new and clean. The water pressure was great and not to mention the free coffee offered 24/7.

Very nice place, but additional charges for parking.

Spacious Room size

The AC in the room was very dusty and made me very stuffy . The room was very dusty as well like it hasn’t been cleaned properly either.

I loved my stay at the Candlewood suite it was great. The space there was just what I expected. The staff were phenomenal n very friendly. I didn’t expect to pay for parking $20 per night. I believe that’s something needed to be mentioned in the fine print when reserving your room. Other than that it was. Absolutely wonderful. Thanks

Everything Nothing

It’s walking distance to the main strip & the Sphere. There’s nothing you can do not like. It was an excellent stay.

Everyone was nice and hotel was clean. Definitely recommend it.

Exceptionally clean, comfortable beds, complimentary laundry, good location to the strip, staff were wonderful. Odd smell in room (I think coming from garbage disposal).
