What a wonderful surprise this place turned out to be. The setting is absolutely beautiful, with a gorgeous garden and an atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at home. The hosts could not have been more charming or welcoming, and the food was truly exceptional. Kristine is an absolute delight. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely cared for and welcomed. This stop wasn't even part of our original plan—we booked it at the last minute after a change in our itinerary—but it ended up being one of the most memorable experiences of our trip.

Everything. We had a beautiful, large room, great linens & comfortable bed. Location was perfect, 5 minute walk to historic center. Appreciated the private parking space. The proprietors were very welcoming & helpful. Highly recommend for a special experience!

The couple who own and run this chambre d'hote are delightful and excellent hosts! They stayed up to welcome us as we couldn't get there until two hours after the stated check in window on the booking. The room is a surprising mix of modern amenities in a classic French country estate. Very spacious, feels very luxurious. The location is ideal for exploring the old town, cathedral and restaurants by walking. There is a farmers' market by the cathedral on Wednesdays, don't miss it if you are there on that morning! The hosts provide an absolutely wonderful breakfast at your preferred time in the morning. Liked everything about our stay here.

Lots of construction on the roads around them, but once inside, you step back in time.

Location ideal, a short walk to old city area, where the host’s restaurant recommendation turned out to be one of the best meals of our holiday in France. Secure parking was an important factor for us (car full of bags). Warm and very hospitable host couple, who went out of their way to greet on arrival and ensure breakfast was well prepared (including home made jam). Room attention to detail and comfort was extremely well thought out and presented.

A perfect oasis in the heart of Le Mans. Characterful and comfortable rooms, lovely en suites. A great continental breakfast served at the beautiful dining table, which made for lively conversation with other guests. Great location for walking access to city centre and Plantagenet City. Nothing.

Fabulous French house with lovely gardens. Very close to the old city. Underground secure parking. Warm and very comfortable bedrooms even though it was very cold outside. Superb shower. Lovely breakfast with homemade jams and cake. Fabulous friendly hosts. It was all perfect.

Charming old house and very friendly helpful owners. Very close walking to the centre. Breakfast was basic traditional French. We needed more protein! But delicious home made jams and apple cakes.

It was a great a great taste of France. It felt unique and not corporate. The couple who own the facility are very special and wonderful hosts. The breakfast was special and a lot of attention to detail made Tfe experience joyful. We liked everything.

Beautiful , sympathetically renovated old house in a central location . Helpful proprietors who arranged parking and had lots of information re Le Mans . We were only staying one night en route to ferry but could happily have stayed longer . The room was large and appropriately decorated in the house style Nothing

A fantastic breakfast which was laid out by our lovely hosts. Great central position which is an easy walk into the old city and cathedral . Secure parking was also a great bonus Nothing - we were there for only one night but if you were there for more than that some tea/ coffee making facilities in the room would be helpful
