Casa Balmes

Location It was spacious Check on was easy Breakfast was 6 minutes away, difficult to find and not very good. A Window that is high and unreachable had been left open from before we arrived and after a night of rain, many of my husband’s clothes got wet from rain overnight. We hoped to extend our check out to dry the clothes but we were only given 15 minutes. So we tried to dry things in a hurry using the blow dryer and it was unusually hot putting holes in my socks and melting my husband’s shoes ( the bottom sole came loose)

Letizia was an amazing host that helped us with very late check in, provide good information about area, and was super friendly.

Martina was wonderful! So helpful! She was very willing to provide recommendations on things to do, places to eat and drink, and anything we had questions about! We also ended up staying an extra day and she was very kind about it and gave us a discount. Very helpful in bringing an extra bed for 3 people in the room. She also gave detailed instructions on how to check in and out, where to go for breakfast, etc. Great experience! The location is also perfectly located in the center of the downtown area

We had a lovely stay at Casa Balmes - it was perfectly located to explore Lecce and the surrounding beaches for 3 days! Super easy check in & check out and amazing breakfast with fabulous views at the sister hotel every morning. Parking was a bit stressful, especially on a Sunday night so might be worth paying for a parking spot in one of the car parks rather than driving round trying on find on street parking.

Very central area, close to bars and restaurants in the historic center. The building looks good from the outside and has a typical style. It is definitely not a luxury rent, from the photos it looked a bit different. In short, it is a quiet and clean space, but there are several things that did not convince me about the room I rented, first of all the fact that the windows give onto dirty stairs, the air conditioner drips outside attracting mosquitoes so you can't even keep the windows open, the shower water is never very hot, always lukewarm, the soap was finished, and the bathroom very very small. In addition, the walls are dirty in places and you can see where furniture has come off previously. Another thing I didn't like was the fact that there was work going on in the street below that we weren't warned about which made us walk almost 10 minutes more to get to the flat. All in all, nothing major, but I expected something better!

The location was amazing! Everything was perfect!

The location is very central in Jewish getto, good to walk through the city. The apart is inside a little palazzo, nice and interesting to get in and see traces of old reliefs and stones. The apartment was not cosy at all - uncomfortable beds (the single ones like in soldiers campaign), and not very clean, especially the towels. 7 minutes walk from breakfast on a roof : it was standard and ok, but the terrase had zero view and if I knew I would prefer to skip it and go to some nice place with good italian coffee near the apart

Great location, nice room, good breakfast. Wi-fi didn’t work much of the night and next morning.

The room was very spacious and comfortable and the property was in a good location. Breakfast was included, just a 5 minute walk away in a sister hotel. Breakfast was definitely a highlight, eaten on the roof with a great view. We were made very welcome by the staff. It was all good.
