Urban Oasis Hostel

Great hostel with really friendly and helpful staff, activities organised and a group chat to help organise, great location, amazing common areas and good sized rooms (I was in a dorm of 4). Comfortable bed and good pillow! I was surprised there was no aircon in the rooms given how hot it was (June) which made it a little difficult to sleep, however each bed was fitted with a fan to help and also prevent mosquitoes.

No air conditioning in the room and fans are not enough .

It was amazing. I highly recommend it.

- The back courtyard is super nice (at the expense of all the other adjacent properties :), as this is probably the biggest courtyard in that urban island / city block). I find it particularly nice at night and when it is not full of people. I quite enjoyed strolling around in it, alone, late at night. - The small inner courtyard with a retractable rooftop is also nice. - The location is super close to the Train-station and close-enough to the city center, but then again, this is such a small city that everything is close. :) - The staff was very nice and pre-prepared to help, which was lovely. But, just maybe, the “pre” part was slightly overdone, as I kept having the impression that all the answers I was getting, while correct and informative, were formal and prepared in advance – while I was looking for more personal and less formal/touristy answers. But hey, nothing to complain, just saying, my need for a rich cultural and personal discussion was not met fully (by no one's fault). This is not something that would detract from the overall score, but compared to other places, there was a difference for me. Just details. - This might sound crazy, but in this case, the bathroom in the room was not a plus for me. Certainly the fact that the two doors leading to the toilet were squeaking like crazy was not nice, especially when such a thing is so easy to fix. - Shelves and a chair near the bed would have also been nice, especially given that the room was super-spacious. ... As I said, only details and small functionalities.

Simple and friendly staff

The location of the hostel is great — close to the city center and also near the train station. Upon entering, there are lots of recommendations, both for places to eat/drink, for excursions and the departure times for buses to each beach are also available. Communication was excellent and everyone was always friendly. The kitchen is very well equipped and organized. The rooms are spacious, as are the bathrooms — on my floor there were two, located in the women-only area. The only downside I found was that, although each bed has its own fan, it still gets quite hot, and sometimes the fan wasn't enough. But aside from that, everything was excellent!

Very nice common areas, especially the garden with its two adorable cats. A later check-in could be more convenient and also not sure how one bathroom for women would be enough in the high season.

The price of stay is fine.. Bed not fix with wall and when Go to bed it produces noises. And there was noises of people. So my experience was not too good in this hotel.

Beautiful place! Super good location, and really nice energy! I fully recommend if you're visiting Lecce.
