Tru By Hilton Lewisville Vista Ridge Mall

Upon arrival i find the room cost less than what i paid with expedia. Disheartening. The floor drain for the ice machine had enough bacteria in it to make all sick. In addition the change filter light was on all week on the water “faucet”.

The hotel was great! The beds were comfortable. The kids had a blast in the pool. The lobby had games and comfortable chairs to chat in while the kids played. Breakfast was gone when we made it down to eat.

Great welcome, with personalised tv welcome in the room. 24hr coffee and gym access. Swimming pool was also nice. Friendly staff and nice selection at breakfast. Ample parking. Bathroom had some obvious toenail clippings on the floor (not mine). Breakfast wasn’t as stocked as it could be - no forks throughout for example.

The front desk staff were never there, they ran out of food for breakfast, tv didn’t work in the room

The staff at Tru by Hilton was awesome. We were welcomed with open arms, and the rooms were spacious, modern, and very clean. The showers were well-kept, the 24/hr coffee and tea were helpful, and overall, they made the experience pleasant. That said, the prices were not too dissimilar to booking through Expedia, and after several attempts to resolve an issue that we were assured would be handled by Expedia, the hotel apologized on their behalf but recommended we do business directly with their establishment, not through the 3rd party of Expedia. Given the terrible customer service and the runaround to get a resolution on a cancellation, I would recommend booking directly through the hotel. The staff was awesome, attentive, and better off if their hotel got paid directly rather than through a third-party booking agency.

I arrived at the hotel at approximately 4:50 PM to check in. I was told it would be about an hour before any rooms would be available because housekeeping was still in the process of cleaning them. Fortunately I only had to wait about 25 minutes. Normally I should be able to check in anytime after 3:00 pm and not at 5:30 pm. Once I got to the room I discovered there was no container to put ice in from the ice machine. The third thing that happened was when I parked in the back of the lot and tried to enter the hotel from the doors in the back I found a sign posted on the door saying it was out of service. Needless to say I don’t plan on staying at this Hotel again. There are too many options in the area to stay.

This hotel was very nice! It smelt amazing!! The staff was the sweetest! We would gladly stay here again if the need arises!!

Staff was friendly Shampoo was empty, body wash container pump wouldn't work, and of course I didn't find this out till mid shower. Lots of hair left by a previous person in the shower. Previous reviews discussed the bar next door having loud music. They were correct. It went on for hours.

My stay was very nice. The staff was very helpful. The breakfast was not the best but everything was clean and the price was very cheap. Convenient to many places and things to do.
