Our favorite hotel in Lexington. Great location, friendly and helpful staff and the beds are very comfortable.

Our room needs a total makeover, obvious stains in carpet and mold growing in the carpeting. Bathtub had enamel, peeling, and tile caulking was moldy in places. Pillows need a refresh.

Hotel looks great from the lobby and front. But once you walk to your room, you will discover that this is actually an old motel that has some nice paint and furniture. Carpet is old and bathrooms are old with some updates, but limited space. No mini fridge in rooms. Definitely “lipstick on a pig”. I expected more from a Hilton Curio property.

This hotel had an odd layout with small elevators - part of what made it unique, but the reason our stay was just okay was due to a shower that didn't drain, bugs found in the bathroom (after they were taken care of there were not more) and loud drunk guest yelling in at 3am in the morning. The on-site restaurant had great vibes, we had drinks and apps. The apps were okay but not stellar. Overall it was a safe and ideal location for our needs, that would have been better if a few issues were fixed.

Very nice hotel and well situated close to Kentucky campus. AC in room was finicky and the bar was a bit small and constantly packed with only one bartender to manage. No fridge in room and no free buffet. Other than that it wa fine.

They seem very short staffed. The tavern was super busy. I tried to eat dinner and finally just went back to my room as I didn’t get waited on but lunch was very good. The rooms are very nicely decorated and roomy but I noticed that the bath tub plug was broken so I couldn’t have a bath and there is no refrigerator in the room nor ice machines so you have to ask for ice from the restaurant. The room smelt very musty.

The entire property had a wonderful Kentucky feeling to it.

Very clean and well maintained, good location I don’t think it’s right that you charge for parking.

The Campbell House *looks* lovely. My experience for two nights there wasn’t. The air conditioning unit could not maintain temperature so it was either uncomfortably warm or freezing. I woke up multiple times just due to this. Several family members were also staying at the hotel and this seemed to be true across rooms and in different parts of the hotel. Secondly, the odor was not ideal at best. It was musty to the point of even clothes I didn’t wear needing to be washed because they smelled like the room. I know this next part is somewhat outside the control of the hotel, but the second night I was there I was woken up by the smell of skunk spray pouring into my room (and not the herby kind of skunk smell). The night staff offered to let me switch rooms, but the only room available was two down from where I was and also smelled like skunk. Lastly, and I know this is a small thing, but the chain on the toilet kept getting stuck under the flap, leaving the toilet running so I had to take the top off and pull it out a few times. This could be a great hotel with its beauty and history, but in my two days there it’s not there yet.

Very friendly and communicative staff. Beautiful lobby area. The room was nice and updated. The check-in system was down so couldn't get into room for a few hours. This was not staff's fault as they tried to accommodate everyone but it did put a damper on stay.

The property is old but maintained considering the age. $15 for self parking is ridiculous. The room and bathroom were small. Towels were provided but no wash cloths.
