Fox & Hounds Inn

Lovely quiet location. Staff very efficient and helpful. Bed comfortable. Bathroom clean and shower powerful. Evening meals were just what we wanted and the breakfast spot on. The parking, though not ideal, was just along the street. Nothing. there was nothing to dislike.

Location Room a little dated.

Central location in a beautiful tranquil village - stunning. We arrived late, approx 9.30pm - parked on side of road as it wasn't obvious where the pub parking was. Our room was pleasant, a bit old fashioned but warm & comfortable. Water pressure for bath/shower good. Breakfast was freshly cooked & enjoyable. Lovely area for walks or relaxing. Washbasin taps were both leaky/wasteful. Didn't see the "host" to say goodbye to as you just depart leaving the key in the door - would perhaps expect a bit more interaction & pleasantries.

Karen who worked the bar was fantastic and really made us feel welcome and made our stay very enjoyable. She was definitely the high point of our stay. Noisy room, building work going on outside our window, starting early in the morning. Uncomfortable bed and taps on bathroom sink did not work properly.

The property is located in the most beautiful village. The accommodation is basic but clean and comfortable.

The Fox and Hounds is a great place to stay, WI-FI in my room was a bit flakey but for me personally that can be a good thing at times

This B&B was fantastic. Food was lovely. Staff very helpful. Can't wait to go back soon.

Although the room was warm and comfortable, the bathroom was in need of some maintenance. The taps on the sink didn't turn off properly, and the fittings on one side of the toilet seat fell off. Although the food was quite nice, the limited time of serving 6 pm -7.30pm was very restricted. Also, breakfast wasn't served until 9 a.m., which was a bit late for us, and we had to eat at speed to get to an event at 10 am. The cooked breakfast had no choice of eggs just fried, and no beans, mushrooms, hash browns, or black pudding were included. The location is very nice and the staff were ok but clearly rushed off their feet. I'm not sure we will stay again

Really comfortable room and bed, cosy room. Peaceful and beautiful location. Delicious breakfast! Great value for money.

The pub Is situated in a picturesque village in Wensleydale. Very friendly greeting and promptly shown to the room (away from the noise of the bar). Bed very comfortable. Atmosphere in the bar was good. Did not dine there so cannot comment on evening meals. Breakfast excellent Despite the radiator being on full blast, the room was cold. There was an electric heater there, which did help. The TV is more of a radio - it is so small. Shower was functional.
