Casa de Baraybar

This place is so cute and the staff are so kind! You are super close to the beach and to a bunch of different places! They even give you a little QR code that tells you places that are within walking distance! The only thing I didn’t love was my specific room did not have a real connection to WiFi and there was only one plug in the entire room which was all the way across the room from the bed. But overall an exceptional stay!

We had a lovely stay at Casa Baraybar! Everything was clean and comfortable, and Lucia, the woman in charge of breakfast, was such a joy to meet.

We enjoyed our 2 night stay. The manager was very friendly and a good resource for local information. The room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was simple but fine. The bathrooms are overdue for rennovations. Tub with jets and shower. A simple shower would modernize the room.

Slight smell. I suspect it came from a water recycle facility from 2 blocks away

The property was clean and very near the main attractions. The staff would respond to any requests quickly and were able to provide a breakfast box to go when needed x My room did not have AC but it wasn’t completely uncomfortable. A cool breeze would come through the window

The beds were quite hard and bathroom small.

I liked the arched ceiling of the room we stayed in and the check-in process was easy. the water for our shower kept going off for 5-10 minutes during showers. The entire house has been converted into bedrooms so there is very little charm left, it feels more like a hostel or dormitory. I expected more atmosphere. The front desk is not 100% reliable and we got stuck outside banging on the door when we tried to collect our bags for the airport around 6pm as we had planned with the hotel in advance. The breakfast isn't very good, would at least be nice to have fresh juice.

Love love love this place. It is super cute. The rooms are wonderful and the location is absolutely ideal. The staff was so helpful and kind. Would definitely recommend!!

Many things contributed to this stay: First of all, very kind and helpful hotel staff (hospitality+) and the location. Mini markets, restaurants, cafes close by. Safe to walk around also in the evening. Whoever reads this should know that the accomodation is very special because by just going left in a straight line and through the park one can reach the sea in about 5 minutes. Most sea view locations (as far as what we encountered at least) don't allow for going down to the waterfront. The maria reiche park also lights up the nazca lines in the evening which creates a lovely atmosphere to stroll around with a coffee :) Thank you very much, we enjoyed our stay!

The owner was very nice and helpful. We spent only a night there on my transit from Cusco to US. Our flight was at 10pm and they allowed us to keep things in our room while we were exploring Lima, waiting for the flight time, which was very helpful. The location was great, a short walk from the ocean.

If you are looking for a safe/quiet place with great WiFi, hot shower, spacious room, then this place is for you. The couple who runs this are so kind and accommodating. The breakfast was hot with eggs, cheese, meats, bread, jam, choice of coffee and/or tea, plenty of juice and water. We loved our stay here and highly recommend. If you are looking to party, this is not the place for you. It is very calm and peaceful. In the morning we enjoyed a stroll on the paths among the upper coast. It’s a very nice/safe area. Exactly what we were looking for! Everything was perfect

The location of this property was a pleasant surprise. The descriptions I had read in the reviews misled me. It’s only about a block and a half away from the walk along the Bluffs. It was nice to stroll to a restaurant and take a walk along the “boardwalk”, along with many other Peruvians. We discovered a point where people gather to sit out on the bluff or on the little walls and watch the sunset over the ocean and the islands. The hotel is very comfortable and the couple who run it were very nice. There is no elevator but the lady asked our Uber driver to carry our luggage upstairs! The breakfast was not exceptional, but adequate Breakfast was just ok

Carmen & Alain were very hospitable and helped me feel at home. They helped out with places to go to and the Casa de Baraybar has a great Spanish style flair! Will definitely come back here when in Miraflores again!
